A really good video. You stay in context, good pace and no extra bullshit. You know what you say and you speak clearly. Video and audio work is quality. Keep doing these.
Love how you took four similar discs from 4 manufacturers and compared them on several shots. More of this please, or perhaps 4 of the same disc in different plastics
Being able to get the wraith in so many plastics has always been huge for me too. I’ve got a flippy pro, a straight star and a overstable halo wraith all in the bag. Let’s see that C2 putting video. Putting was looking on point!
Sweet video. Well made, and this comparison is on a lot of people's minds. Is that an actual safari layout or did you just set up over there to the left because you wanted a longer approach?
Nice review. I’m not surprised by the DD1, but strange how your Grace seems so stable. My Graces truly bomb, but are not very reliable due to being so flippy. I wonder if you got a more stable one (since we seem to have about the same distance in our throws).
In max weight, Big Z plastic I'm hoping it's close to as glidey as my Grace. I love my wraith, but the Drive seems closer in stability to the Grace. I bag both and I've been sniffing out the Drive to see if it outdrives or underdrives what I already bag.
I am not sure what would be best for me. The first number on the four disks I play with are 3,5,7, and 13. The 13 is 100% outside of my skill level. A good throw for me currently with the River 7,7,-1,1 is around 90 meters. My best game so far on a 9 hole course was (4 x par), (4 x +1), with a +2 on the last hole for a +6 game. That last hole is the biggest hurdle for me because it is a long hole. My accuracy is developing, my putting is so so. I played years ago and just recently started playing again around two weeks ago. I have been writing down what my score is since I returned for every game including what disk I used. I have 32 games written down so far.
Yea i gotta try the Drive. Having the smallest hands ive ever seen on an adult male, if i can find a smaller disc that gives me the same distance i want it. Ive never seen a wraith be that flippy before, unless its beat all to hell.
@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf you should really try a scorch out, it's rim is also 2.2 cm thick like the grace and the DD1, and in the stock Z line plastic probably flies more similar to 11 6 -1 2. Theres a tiny bead but its almost impossible to notice.
It's a prototype right? Mine is crazy straight. Almost no turn, gentle fade at the very end at about 400'. Hard to compare since wraiths are all over the place lol. Love em both.
@@mindlander I get that kind of flight with my Surge but not even close to that distance 😅 maybe just breaking 300 consistently… ya I got some work to do lol
Totally random comment bc insane that one about a dx wraith... from what I've seen dx only comes with flat stamps and no holo but that is neither here or there. I was practicing a buddy of mine about disc golf in general and threw him a dx wraith in the middle of a football field thinking that there is no way I'll lose it... so after he tossed it into some 350' abyss after one time throwing forhand, I became a bit of a believer in the wraith. So yeah, I bag a halo grace 😉
Based on on the flight numbers and disc circumferences Drive should take the least amount of speed and spin in order to make it go straight for most of its flight. Based on flight numbers the Wraith has a stability of 2 and the Stability of the other three discs is 1 . So based on that the Wraith should take more arm speed and spin to make it go straight than all other discsand therefore is the worse disc for beginners. Wing shape, type of plastic and weight of the disc play a part on what disc is easier for beginners/ people that generally generate less speed and spin on the disc.
Yeah I forgot to mention the weight, that was my bad, but they are all max weight. Other than that though you can see what plastic they are in the beginning when i show the discs, and the first thing I said before I threw them was "I've never thrown any of these discs before." I apologize if I didn't make that clear enough for you.
