Alternatively, you can do what we did and teach them to open doors. Only problem with that was they never used to close them, so we had to jury rig a pulley to automatically close them. Sliding doors on rollers works pretty good too. One of our boys even used to open the fridge door, which used to drive my mum nuts.
Our dog door was a security problem due too it's size, so we put a hard board flap that could be locked down shut when we weren't home. Our dogs are never left alone in the house while we are out, which is extremely rare. One of us is usually home what with shift-work and now retirement.
Mine figured out how to go through a tiny cat door at my Mom's place. It was always extremely hilarious to anyone who was watching. Of course if it was my own place there would be a proper door.
What Rotties say about houses as human dwellings: "I just love these things. Crunchy outside (house) with chewy centers (people who live in them)." Just kidding. Merry Christmas all!
I always thought of having something like that, but have you ever thought/worried like criminals or something could sneak in? or you're just fine that its very unlikely around your neighborhood or your dogs can handle them? etc etc.
@@TheRottyRanch hahaha lol 😆 love it .. I think so too.. they definitely eat the burglar .. he has no chance... I have just one Rottweiler and I think I'm very safe with him...
