As a Canadian I have tons of friends from there so I knew haha, plus I guess it helps that my aunt is British. It took me a bit of time to adjust to the different humour when my British friends, specifically my friend from Newcastle for some reason, made jokes but now that I have I can appreciate how funny they all are. It’s just so fun overall when we try and imitate each other’s accents and fail too

Yes, she was lovely, I liked Manchester and some of the people, a soft Manc accent is quite nice really, I'm originally from the Wirral and used to work in TV etc there, and it's a nicer accent than Liverpool, but not as nice as a middle class Cheshire accent (😁) Northern character and warmth shines out as usual from the hostile or dull Southerners doesn't it!
