Wow! I've been using tear away stabilizers to prevent my delicate fabric from pulling instead of teflon needle plate. Thank you so much.

It did, thank you so much. I broke my needle plate last night, I bought a new plate and feed dog however both the old and new feed dog aren’t moving my fabric on this new plate. My current thoughts are the new plate is too thick. So I’m happy to hear that there are different plates and feeds for different materials. I’m hoping this also adds to the thickness of needle plates and height of feed dogs. Thanks

Oh my goodness...this video was so helpful. I never realized you can change out the plates for better sewing with your different fabrics.

Отличное видео коллега! Но вы не сказали почему то об игольных комплектах с трехрядной игольной пластиной? Много машин поставляется именно с тем комплектом. С левой которой стороны которой длинная гребенка, а справа короче. Было бы интересно послушать ваш опыт. Спасибо!

I'm trying to stitch PUL fabric and microfleece fabric with elastic simultaneous. the microfleece fabric is at the bottom...it tears the fabric. I'm using 10 size needle. I'm using 8700 machine. using teflon footer not teflon feed dog.

What’s the difference between B type and E type feed dogs? I have the b type on my brother machine ! It works fine but is the E type better?

Does the Juki 8700-H come with a heavy feed dog or regular? I just bought a new machine and wondering if it already comes with a heavy feed dog.

Yes it should come stock with the following; Medium or heavy feed dog / plate Heavy take up lever Heavy hook Heavy thread tension spring Needle size 18

Changing out the feed dogs and presser on a juki 8700-H to accomodate thinner fabrics and using a size 12 needle will I have to change the timing on the machine as well?

Only time you will have to change your timing is when you use a needle that is more that 3 sizes away from the initial set up. That macjine new comes with a size 18-20 needle. So if you haven't done timing since you bought it new then i would recommend adjusting your timing. If you're not sure then adjust it to size 14 with a very little gap (almost touching). This will allow you to go down to a size 11 and up to a 18 if needed
