That Schecter guitar shape is based on a brand called Mosrite from the 60/70’s if you didn’t know. Super cool guitars I think that are certainly a vibe! Dunable have a version of that shape (they call it the Gnarwal) and I played one at a store near me a few months ago - such a comfortable guitar to play! Very nearly left the store with it but a Les Paul caught my eye and after 30 seconds of playing I knew what I would be buying that day 😂
Never seen the Shawn Mendes before. Kinda cool I agree. I think my guilty pleasure is the Gibson Theodore. Everyone seems to hate it but I love it, maybe not for 7k or whatever but I think it looks killer. I also like the starcaster. Kinda weird body but I love the headstock. Squier has these too I think? I almost bought a Reverend back in 2012 when I lived in Seattle. ProGuitarShop had them in Portland (you know Andy right?). He plays them all the time and they sound fantastic, but I agree a little strange especially the headstock. Cool video man!
I agree with the Shawn mendez. Its probably more expensive now too. Yes the squiers have it as well! They look pretty good! I don't think I've heard a bad word from Reverend guitars they just seem like killer work horse guitats that get shit done 🙂
Honestly it was Neck Deep's guitarist that got me into checking out Reverend guitars, hes got his own signature as well! (P-90) bridge only config, pretty simple but clean build!
My two epiphones are very enjoyable! Both are 2021 models. LP Custom 'Tuxedo' Limited Edition with Gibson 498t/490r pickups and a Faded Pelham Blue Les Paul Modern with a Duncan Custom in the bridge. FANTASTIC guitars! I'm not shy about them, but they are definitely my "cheapest guitars". I would call them my "fun" guitars haha.
I too really like the mockingbird! It’s honestly the only bc rich guitar that I like. I was considering buying after I saw one in my local shop. There were two, one that was standard switching, and one with a whole load of switches and knobs! It’s still in the shop but I’d have to sell one of my guitars to justify buying it and I don’t think I can let one of mine go for a bc rich lol!
I've never viewed the Starcaster as an ugly guitar and the ones I've held were never heavy as you described. I would most certainly would get one in the future with no shame haha.
