@engineering facts: well said. But you have not included the emission rates of Indian refinery which produces diesel and petrol. As per the pollution control board data, they are worse than thermal plant. The older the refinery worse the emission rates. So average of all 14 Indian refinery will be higher than average emission of all 8 thermal plants in India.
Cure oil refinerynot only done for petrl diesel many other products is also comming out of it so any way we need to continue the prcoess even if we move to electric and also lithium extraction have their emissions

This is the start of the ev's. If you compared ev's with first generation petrol vehicles, ev's are great. More developments are happening in battery manufacturing and their components. In the start itself it equalled petrol vehicles. The price will drop over the years.

I have a question when it comes to maintenance service cost. You have included the service cost for petrol vehicle as rupees 5000/year. But you haven't mentioned the service cost of an electric vehicle. Rather you just mentioned the 5000/year for difference between the price of the vehicle. Does that mean electric vehicle don't need service at all?

I would suggest to do more research to understand how moving to electric will benefit India something like 1. We don’t need to import petroleum products. Money(our wealth) will be saved. 2. Pollution from coal will be in minimal places so controlling will be easier. There are methods to convert released co2 into solids from coal. 3. Strengthening home and small industries solar panels along with TNEB since we have 300 days of clear sunlight and naturally benefits us. If we don’t have religion first attitude and vote for the right people who is educated and have wisdom with discipline instead of electing illiterate demigods then every people in Tamilnadu will prosper. Actually you did good job.. Well analysed 👍but I have one doubt.. Petrol price is not static right?? Which is changing day to day.. At the end of the year petrol price may go up to Rs.150+/litr, who knows it may touch Rs.200/litr..so In that case cost of petrol vehicle per year may go higher than EV right?? The same way once EV usage gets popular the Li Ion battery costs will get down because of the number of Li ion battery manufactures will get increase in market so the competition bw them will play major role in decrease of battery cost.. Sir BS6 standard came only last year. How can you take that same emission for 2.5 crore vehicles. Older vehicles pollute even more and older vehicle produce more toxins and they will fail FC test.

Also another point is the number of moving parts in an ICE , replacement cost, pollution cost of making those parts, transport cost etc., Which is missed also in the service cost over 3 years. And you also need to look at the battery replacement, 3,000 Rs for two wheeler every three years !
