Came to see the comparison on these 2. As a Full Time Shooter, we are splitting hairs here 😂 either will work the Client never……, I mean never…. debates this level of detail.
Canon is not that much interested in bringing RFS APS-C lenses for their system as they did for their EF-M. RF-S will have exactly the same number of lenses that EF-M has or less. Canon mistakenly to not follow their popular EF-M 15-45mm kit lens for their RF-S system. Now they can allow their old Sigma partner who saved their EF-M system with their 16, 30 and 56mm F1.4 trio. For general purposes, Canon's full-frame lens line is full and if you have the money you can go for it. But APS-C is not even compatible with Sony, or Nikon APS-C lineup. That is why Z50 is gaining market although it is not even close to their R10. So I will beg Canon to bring an overall zoom lens (Like old EF-S 17-55 f2.8) and some good prime like EF-M 22m F2 or 32mm F1.4. Please consider a good kit lens instead of a useless 18-45mm F4.5-6.3. And allow Sigma to bring at least four or five very demanding lenses. Or Stop advertising for APS-C. BTW, I own an R10 (unfortunately).

Because the Canon EF macro lens is almost legendary, so when people are looking to switch from their DSLR system, this lens may be a deciding factor for them when choosing between Canon and Lumix S. We decided not to include Nikon, Sony and 3rd party in the lineup as there's not actually any like-for-like lenses, they're all different focal lengths!
