@@JOHN-1300 yeah me too. My favorite kick is back kick for the insane power but roudhouse is pretty close because of the multiples options you have with it (low, mid, high, question mark kick, 540, etc.).
@@SadulloKhadjibayev My friend who does karate taught me how to sidekick one time and it's fairly easy tbh. The hardest part for me is actually landing with the blade of the foot but everything else he said was "Tht was good! You need to work on smaller details though". I got no martial arts training before so I was honestly shocked that I did well. For him at least 😅
And not even messing, side kicks are the perfect antidote to someone running at you (assuming they’re not 50kg heavier than you). One of the scariest moments of my adult life was when some grown man started screaming and sprinting at me looking me dead in the eyes as he was. I dont even know if he was actually targeting me or not but u got such a fright that I threw a sidekick at them and it knocked them straight off their feet. Ran for my life after and didn’t hear them follow. I still fear I kicked some random dude who had no ill intent but fuck me if I was taking the chance. The sidekick has some serious stopping power
Hey Nat! Why don't you make a series of videos on the Kihon and Katas of every karate belt from the white to the black and demonstrate the right form of doing them?
Thrust/push kick is my bread and butter. I also like the Cross heel stomp kick/elliptical kick thing because kicking someone in the side of the knee for self-defense is an instant win.
I think its a matter of situation, ability, and opponent, dont highkick if theyre ready, or you got tight jeans on or something, but they can end a fight real fast if theyre well placed.
The kicks that "looks good" are mostly karate kicks and it's because in competitions we don't knock out the opponent. But all those kicks in self defense situations can work as good if you know how to use them
