Is there a perception that non heritage luxury bags are inferior to the heritage brands? I am finding more and more that the quality of the leather from brands like Strathberry, Aspinal, Demillier and Polene are outshining the luxury brands. I love well made bags and I love getting my money's worth which does not happen to be case with brands like Chanel of late.
Hi, Ive been looking at Demellier bags but since there’s no retailer where I live, I was wondering if the quality is good, have you seen or do you own one?
@@ladyinpink2654 I have two Demellier bags - both shoulder bags - and I think the quality is lovely (not Lady Dior lovely but very lovely all the same!)
Great video, regarding your Chanel tote my GST and Supermodel totes were both slouching like that I biught inserts for them both and just leave them in them all the time and the leather actually stopped getting worse and actually corrected itself quite a bit.
The only thing about big leather bags is how heavy they can get. So I rather have a small handbag and a carry another document bag separately. But laptops aside, I love large totes on flights! Thanks for the ideas ❤️
Your magic always makes me want a large Lady Dior 🙈Especially the pretty blue color they have now, even though I know I would rarely use it. Could I still justify it, yes absolutely 😊
I’ve been on-and-off thinking about adding a Lily & Bean tote for a while because you do see so many luxury influencers wearing them (well…for their sponsored posts). Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the quality and how it’s been holding up. The Diorever is so classy! Love the colour you got yours in. Absolutely agree with the points you made on the B35.
Yes I love the Prada totes. I think silver hardware wears better on them too. I have the prada Saffiano leather mens tote with silver hardware and its holding up amazing well after 3 years. The Dior forever I wanna add to my list to get esp for the price these days for it.
Thanks so much for filming this. I love large bags. As much as I like the idea of small bags, other than for a one off night out, they just don’t work for me. I have family members who are forever handing me things to put in my bag and that’s my life. I don’t have a butler either. Your Large Lady Dior is so stunning. I would love one of those some day. I do have the Diorever and the Prada Saffiano Lux which are brilliant work bags. I must have struck it lucky with my Prada. It’s now 10 years old and still looks brand new, and I have used it a lot and it came in a truly luxurious box. The Strathberry tote is beautiful too. I have one of those on my wish list but at the moment I can’t decide which colour or whether to get another large structured tote or the midi, which is still a really good size.
I've been going back and forth about a large bag recently so thanks for this! I've been looking into a large zipped bayswater. Annoyingly they're discontinued but there are a few about. I think this would be a great large bag and very much Birkin like for those who can't afford the bag and butler lol. But, personally, I don't know if I'd ever feel comfortable bringing out a Birkin, but I like the very similar look as this bag. Got a mini one already so I'm VERY tempted with this.
I remember going with a friend to buy her large zipped bayswater and I was so jealous. It's a very similar style but a little more understated- but mulberry's leather is divine! Hope you find one
I love a big bag! I have the same neverfull as your gm but in mm. I kind of wish I would have done the gm for even bigger. I held off buying it for years because I find the popularity obnoxious but finally I said, who cares? If I like it, so what? 😀
I actually now like the background better that way... haha. Would you consider a stand for one bag? Like the bag of theday or sum? That way you can show your collection but also not lose the metallic background
I'm wondering whether it's about where I live (Denmark) or whether it's to do with IG/ YT and perception, but I don't see a lot of Hermes IRL! On the other hand it's everywhere on social media, and that perception that it's everywhere will be sure to put me off! I do like Demellier and some Polene. I don't have many higher end bags, apart from a Loewe Puzzle (my dream bag) and a Mulberry Antony, plus an APC, a Marc Jacobs and a Jerome Dreyfuss. If I was going down the Chanel route it'd be the 2.55 reissue (the lack of logo appeals, but I don't think it's right for my lifestyle). As for Hermes it'd be an Evelyn (Antony vibes) or the Jypsiere.
Awe it makes me sad that you aren't using your Chanel tote anymore...that one of my favorite what's in my bag videos EVER! I've watched it multiple times 🙃.
I almost bought the Lily and Bean tote coz it’s cute. But looking at the pictures and saw the edgings are made poorly, there’s no way I’m buying it for more than 100 GBP. And yeah the Chanel leather totes, the sides are sagging😟like mine.
I sold my Speedy 35 because I wanted a large crossbody handbag that I would consider to be more of a subtle luxury vibe and that I could wear in our forever rainy English weather. The Alexa has always been my all time favourite handbag from Mulberry. I have the regular Alexa in slate blue with silver hardware and replaced the Speedy 35 with an oversized Alexa in Oak from the first release. I still wear them both. Then I saw the new version in Mulberry ad with the model wearing a Mac with oversized Alexa in deep Amber prancing around and I needed that oversized Alexa. Now I have two oversized Alexa’s, and zero regrets 🤷🏽♀️ FYI: I sold my Bayswater....go for the oversized Alexa, you won’t regret it.
Not surprised.... they are a similar style to the Chanel- but that's it. The quality is not even average high street. It wouldn't be an issue but people buy them online so can't know this before they've personalised and bought.
@@ms.coltoff-fraser-harrigan8328 I don’t know who that’s talking to - but for me- making money and being nouveau riche are two very different things…. and being born into money doesn’t stop some people being that way.
@@Emmaanders I was replying to CLR above you. I adore you. Your sense of humor is terrific (it is very reminiscent of mine)! You are very grounded and not the least bit pretentious. Don't even know why I responded to CLR, but "they make idiots of themselves" just annoyed me. Be well.
