Question: I laid down Scott’s week & feed on March 30th. When can I apply starter fertilizer? Or can I apply milo instead of starter? If I can apply milo when can I apply that? I live in VA where I have tall fescue
You should wait about 4 weeks before using starter fertilizer (or other synthetic fertilizer) to avoid burning the lawn. You can use Milorganite organic fertilizer anytime along with any application for extra greening up. This is your best bet.
Hi Mike. Sound quality and video is excellent can hear everything you’re saying. Remember two years ago when I had problems with my lawn with dandelions and crap for us we were talking about it? I did everything you said, and this year my lawn is looking fantastic , thank you. I need to keep it up now. I have your notes from the first day, still have your emails and keeping track on my excel. I’m happy with my lawn and thank you to you for helping. I’m gonna send you pics, lol. And I’ve overseed in the fall, detached. Boy it’s a lot of wok , my friends think I’m weird because I love doing yardwork LOL. I do have a question though Mike, is it OK to over seed every fall? I realize the grass will keep growing and more lush which comes with a lot of mowing but it’s ok with me
Great to hear the program is working well for you too! Yes definitely overseeding in the fail is the best time (along with aeration) for great results and the thickest lawn possible.
Sound is clear but the wind noise is annoying. If you notice, it made a big difference in terms of wind noise around 3:45 when you walked away from the camera. You should experiment and face according to the least wind noise. Good luck.
Yes I've heard good things about this product as well, since the effects are more long term I need to think of a way to do a good test. I'll add it on my list to research more though!
Yes i dethatch the lawn almost every fall just before my aeration and seeding. Here's my process in prior years. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OKmoMKNn7Q4.html
I live in Texas and have Bermudagrass. I put down Amaze pre-emergent in November 2020. It did okay with controlling the weeds but the crabgrass is the major problem. Last weekend. We cut it 2 1/2 inches high and I put down my milogranite and Lawn Restore fertilizer and watered it really well. Prior to last weekend, we did the weed and crabgrass treatment with Spectrum Weed/Crabgrass killer. Also, did the Ortho spray weed killer and crabgrass. Again, the weeds aren't the problem, it's the crabgrass. How do you control it with Bermuda grass. Lawn is a little over a year old(new home). Should I do another treatment of Amaze pre-emergent or am I doing too much? Thank you in advance.
Sorry this comment didn't show up earlier. You never technically need to Fertilize, it's primarily for the greener color. Once a month is good in spring and fall. Summer just let the grass survive the heat without fertilizer.
I am in south Florida, we have no seasons except a dry and a rainy season. Have no lawn either, just mulch dirt and ducks. Watch your channel to get a peek at a place that has a climate and seasons. Also you are the most relaxed looking lawn guy with your summer look especially shirts.
