Great video! One thing to add is that the way Newcastle rank their applicants for interview (at least in 2020) is by taking the top 1000 UCAT scores and setting a cut off. Usually, this is around 2700-2750, so the top 15% scores nationally. Really stiff competition tbh
Stamps :P 0:00 intro 1:15 was this our first choice? 1:42 entry requirements 2:36 the size of our year groups 4:15 freshers 🤪 5:39 clinical years 8:38 exams 11:35 typical week in the life at our med school 12:50 does your med school give you scrubs?? 13:23 how much is accommodation? 13:55 how much work do we get? 14:56 what support is available? 15:55 what opportunities does your med school give you when you graduate? 17:00 a very messy outro
love this collab since i’m subscribed to you both!! i’m also from manchester but idk if i should apply bc the university is 5 minutes from my house and i need a change of scenery from where i’ve grown up lol. great video tho and i’ll def come back to it in 2023 when it’s my turn to apply
Aww thank you so much! I felt the same way tbh which is why I wanted to move, but in the end there were small details/opportunities with Manchester that made it the better university to go to. I made it a point to move out of my parents’ home after second year which I did, and living in a different area as well as being placed all around Greater Manchester for placements has really allowed me to experience the city in a different way than ever before! :)
