Fun fact: Allay means to alleviate hunger or pain or alleviate worry, frustration or sorrow. Vex means to cause frustration or anger. So they are literally opposites
I assume that the Allay will only collect items in a proximity, and only items that already exist, so you can't just multiply items. Could still be useful for item sorting systems. And the Copper Golem would also be good for random machines. (Until it oxidises)
the copper golem is good for pranking ur friends by placing tnt, put a copper button, spawn one then boom EXPLODE also you can hit it with an ax and give honey it basicly is copper
I know the votes over now but I love how literally everyone's argument for the mob they wanted was "Well the other two's traits can be replicated" and the best part is everybody was right so they were just arguing over which mobs abilities were the hardest to replicate
actually allay is actually the vex but its before the magic guy (i forgot the name) it gave the sword and then the allay found their potential and became evil
the bee armour may be a terraria reference, the joke about terraria being 2d Minecraft and these videos being 2d Minecraft. Bee armour is also one of the more iconic goofy terraria armours

Hey Dan, I really need you to read this... I just saw the vid of when you lost Peggy and it made me cry. I know that pain from a past experience and I will never forget it. I was there when they put her down and it is probably the most tramatizing thing that I have ever gone through. She will always live in my heart and I hope Peggy will always be in yours. A breakdown of the mobs: *Glare* - Flies to monster spawnable areas and growls to alert you *Allay* - Give it an item & it will retrieve matching items floating on the ground (including nonstackable items) then deposit them near note blocks *Copper Golem* - A buildable companion that will randomly press copper buttons. It oxidizes over time until it becomes a statue. It can be axed to remove the copper, restoring it, and struck by lightning (which might also restore it) Remember, the losers will only be returned to the idea library (not lost forever!) while the winner will be developed further!
i would choose the allay. you can dye them, and it drops stuff at note blocks to the corresponding color (dye the allay red, place not block, place red concrete next to noteblock, will only go to that one).
Hello everyone! I just wanted to clear something up that I don’t see people know about the Allay. The Allay doesn’t find items that you give it and bring more back, if you give it an item it will only pick up more of that item I’d it’s on the ground, here’s an example: if you are mining and you give the Allay a cobblestone, it will pick up dropped cobblestone, but if you give it a piece of netherite, it won’t do anything unless there is a dropped piece of netherite. @@unknownglitchy8428 Minecraft probably wouldn’t add a mob that would make getting diamonds easier . That’s as kinda out of the question when they introduced it, to me anyways.
Only problem is that they oxidize and become stuck. And from what I've heard you'll have to strike them with lightning to un-oxidize them. Remember, the button pressing is random.

not really, it's kind of useless since it just picks up item entities that are closeby and they would take wayy to long to get unless you wanna do a 2hr speedrun
@@stormerplayson yea, they thought Allay will duplicate items. Allay just picks up items on ground based on what you assigned them. Example if your mining a million chunks for a big project, you can have many Allays that are assign in every block you'll mine, 1 for dirt, 1 for cobblestone, etc.
Wouldn’t a group evenly voting for all 3 make no difference at all? It would be the same as voting for none of them because none of the 3 would have any advantage.
Two things to clarify here: 1. Yes, the copper golem can be ‘unoxidised’ either by lightning or using an axe same as with regular copper 2. It has been confirmed that it will tie in together with the Archeology Update, which should be interesting to see

Actually there is one useless cat, the siamese: I had a siamese cat on my minecraft world and a creeper literally walked up and blew it to smithereens.
The copper golem can be un-oxidized using an axe to scrape of the oxidized copper, you can also use lightning to un-oxidize them. The allay picks up DROPPED items, it cannot duplicate, open chests or break blocks
and the allay does not work in unloaded chunks, either way i am fine with people voting the allay, i just much prefer the copper golem, maybe we could make it a dj, also it fits so well with the sculk sensor, you can build a city with living copper golems, maybe a 100 days later in minecraft it gets oxidized and what was once there is now history
@@d39rishikesh.s26 The developers have already confirmed that it will be possible to deoxidize how it works with copper blocks, either with an ax or with a lightning bolt, as well as put wax on it to prevent it from rusting over time. :)
Hear me out (lore??): Ally and Vexs are the same thing but the Vexs were corrupted by the Vindicators (bc Vindicators uses *dark* magic) And the Ally is called 'Ally' bc they are Allies to players, and helps players to complete the game (by grabbing items in a 16 block range) Just a thought*
@@ar3.y0u.0k2 I think the allay's range is the simulation distance you have set. Edit: yup, just checked out rays work's video, he shows a tweet from one of the Devs which says that the allay will not search for items in unloaded chunks.

I think I’m gonna vote for the allay it’s one the most useful ones out of them all because the copper golems only presses buttons and the glare just tells you if its dark enough for mobs to spawn so yea the allay is probably the best bet

Well to be fare the allay looks cool but there not that helpful because there is a pretty low chance there is just gonna be a random item that you gave your allay, unless you give it a egg or something Personally I want the copper golem
