Some great points here. Love - markdown, text colors, linking notes, great idea about reminders, favorite pens, fonts - would like to see all of these work together and in/with Freeform. Seems you really want Object linking embedding in iOS, iPadOS and macOS - one other thing I would like is to import all linked notes into Freeform as a kind of knowledge graph
This is a great list of suggestions for improving Apple Notes! Markdown support, calendar/task integration and backlinks are at the top of my priority list. Your idea of being able to filter specific unchecked todo items is brilliant. Apple really needs to step on the gas with this app.
Another item to add to the list is FILE links. Markdown supports web & image links, Notes should have a similar method to point to macOS files & folders. This would tie together the file system with notes. Copy a file in a note uses extra space so, it's not the same thing. It should be a reference or pointer to a file.
Поддерживаю. Делаешь что-то в numbers, потом решаешь добавить ссылку на файл, а он отправляет копию, причем они не синхронизируются. Но я нашел выход. Можно открыть общий доступ по ссылке и добавить ссылку в заметку, тогда копия будет синхронизироваться
Apple Watch support. I imagine that syncing my 3K+ notes wouldn’t work, but even if just my top 10 pinned notes (or a specific set specifically to sync with the watch) would be excellent. And the ability to create notes from my watch. More and more I am trying to leave my phone at home when doing things like walking or sitting at the beach, and the only thing I miss is Notes, either to reference something I often need to reference, or to jot down ideas and thoughts that come to me.
Maybe Apple doesn't want you to leave your phone at home! :) Jokes aside I don't get why Apple wouldn't create a watch version of the app (even if just to support their own apps and ecosystem). Anyway, your suggestions are very good. Maybe with the arrival of the rumoured audio features (and maybe AI) we'll get at least the ability to dictate/transcribe notes from the Watch. We'll know in less than a month...
With respect to back links, if you click on a link and then type >> the originating note is at the top of the list of suggestions so it is actually pretty easy to link back
Creating backlinks manually is a possible workaround, yes. Bear in mind though that the notes returned by the >> shortcut are the last edited. So the originating note would be at the top only if you were creating the backlink immediately after creating the link on that note.
