@That_AJ_Boi The USA discovered Pluto and they were so proud of discovering this new planet... except it meets all criteria for being a dwarf planet (since 2006). So if Pluto is a planet, then all of the other dwarfs planets should also be just planets, like Ceres, Eris, Makemake, etc This debate exists because of how proud Americans felt about their only discovery. They wanted Pluto to be a planet, otherwise they wouldn't have the badge of discovering a single planet. In fact, Ceres did went through the same process but, who remembers that? oh, that's because Ceres wasn't discovered by the US If the international astronomy council (or whatever exists up there) decided to make the conditions that a planet must have, and Pluto doesn't have them, then it's not a planet. Overrule politics, this is how science decided this.

the reason why venus is barley spinning at all is because a day on venus lasts 5,832 hours, which is equivalent to 7 months 4 weeks 1 day 22 hours 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
@dakodako2069 Venus isn't tidally locked, bcs there isn't any "non perfect Tidally locked" planet. Bcs the definition of a tidally locked planet is a planet that is exactly locked on its star, with one side always facing the same position. Venus is just a planet with a very slow rotation, not a tidally locked one.
We don't know if Mars had life or not. That is a subject of debate and research. Some think the early Marshian climate might of been habitable enough to allow life, perhaps some of it has survived. Again, we do not know and are actively investigating.@@SonicChao113
@@SonicChao113Mars COULD definitely have had life. NASA shows that Mars had period of time (over 4 billion years long!) when it was considered perfect for life. Take to consider that the earliest known Earth fossil is about 3.7 billion years old. (Though it is suggested that life began on Earth 4 billion years ago)

If you only count planets in our solar system, it's Jupiter. If you count dwarf planets as well, then it's Haumea, which revolves every 4 hours or so. If any celestial object is up for the podium, then 1st place goes to PSR J1748-2446, a pulsar that rotates over 700 times per second.
@@Nichrox_Shorts yeah, the fast rotation speed allows its gravity to squash its poles inwards. Saturn is also light enough for its poles to be significantly squashed by its rotational speed as well - its slightly bigger at its equator
@@DragonTheOneDZA The orbital period of Mercury is 88 days, much shorter than any of the other planets. The speeds shown in the video is rotation speed.

A day on Venus is longer than a year. a day on Venus is 243 Earth days while a year is 225 Earth days. That's why it looks like it's not spinning out all.

Fun fact: Mars (supposedly) was like earth way back, then something crashed into it then the rotation spun a different axis than earth, then making it unhabitable (this is not true I think.)
Jupiter has the fastest rotation of all planets in the solar system. (Before a bunch of kids comment that it is Haumea, Haumea is a *DWARF* Planet and not a major planet. So it does not count as the fastest-rotating planet. Just the fastest-rotating dwarf planet. Dwarf Planets don't count.)
