Love Aurora’s back pack. And seeing Joe help out Lucas with the car, does the heart good! Nothing worse than car issues as a young person, and nothing feels better when you have that role model to come to the rescue! Obviously Aaron does a great job at this as well, but having Joe doesn’t take away from that in the slightest, only adds. Teach them while their young!! ❤ Awesome day!!

My Jansport backpack is life! My mom bought it for me when I started high school. I then used it for college. Then I used it for travel. And now some 26 years later, I still use it for the occasional short trip, photography sessions, or when I go to theme parks and zoos where I just need to carry umbrellas, food, and water. It has lasted FOREVER. Total investment piece which I have taken care of and it has taken care of me.

Joe is a great Uncle to all the kids. I love that he is always willing to provide those teachable moments and lend a helping hand!!

I've been watching since before Savannah and Lucas, I can't even remember before they were apart of the family. Now Bella, Liam, and Ryland have joined and are so adjusted with the family you'd never know they haven't been around the whole time. Now you got another new one ❤ I'm so excited to see her and know more about her. Love you and the family ❤

It's crazy to me that in the 90s and early 2000s we literally didnt drink water. We got 3 seconds at the water fountain after recess and that was it. People didnt start bringing water bottles to school until like 2015. I cant believe joy is still so tiny! How adorable, she's a baby forever

I absolutely love seeing the back to school videos, I think it really shows each kids style a little more The backpack rule is interesting as we always picked whatever bag we want I also love how active joe is in all the kids lives, such a sweet moment seeing him teach Lucas with the car problems

Bella's outfit is sooooo cute. The older girls should do a video showing where they get their clothes because they always look so good!

Enjoyed watching the back pack shopping, and all their individual choices. Joe helping out Lucas, then going into the store with Lucas while he looked up what he needed, car sorted. It's nice that the kids can shop for a backpack of their taste. Your new daughter seems to be adapt quickly and is not camera shy. I love Jamie's concern for her, when she didn't find right away her backpack. It's remarkable how well Joe interacts with all of the kids. His special friendship and relationship with them and your family is precious. On a side note, please be carefull eating candy from a dispenser. The gum and paint balls have no wrapper. And you can't verify if the candy contains ingredients you are intolerant or allergic to. Better safe than sorry. Next time Joe is craving for a banana, this accelerates ripening. With a fork make small holes in the unpeeled fruit. Put on a plate in the micro wave and warm for 30 sec. Check by touch, if necessary repeat. Don't pass 2 min. Have fun preparing the return to school 🤩

Can i just say that i see what you did there Savannah with asking Brody some questions first so he felt like he got to talk and then you were able to talk to Joe. I applaud you for that genius parenting right there and im taking notes girl!!

In Aotearoa, New Zealand school backpacks were a big concern because of the weight, people especially children had to carry. This lead to back strain, back problems & other health conditions. As they aged & went to school, the weight got heavier, because of added school supplies. Please be aware of this. It saves a lot of problems in the future. Love you guys. 🙏💖

I work for special Olympics in Alaska and have worked for them for 3 years but have volunteered with them for over 12 years it’s an amazing organization! I’m so excited for Jamie!! Also you should see if any of the kids want to be a partner for Jamie’s sport

It's always crazy to me seeing you backpack shop every year. I had one backpack in middle school (5-8th) and one for high school (9-12th). That said, I never used my backpack in high school so maybe that's why it lived. Also...things aren't made like they were in the 90s and early 00s.

I enjoyed watching the car maintenance segment with Funcle Joe. It's very important to know. I hope the girls learn as well.

Aurora, I'm with you I LOVE color, I've never been into solid tones like black or brown, too boring, I think if Aurora had her way she'd have a backpack for every day of the week or month, I volunteered for the special olympics, we even walked around the track and had our photos taken, talk about special people!

I have an older car that I love. I keep a tool bag in trunk with all the fluids, belts, rain ex, paper towels, jumper cables, and small mechanic set. Along with Jack and spare tire. Very helpful and great gifts for kids

I think it is ridiculous that, the hottest states start school in August. I grew up in Massachusetts and we always started after Labor Day and went till June. Plus we also got February and April vacation along with all the other major holidays. If you didn't know, Jan backpacks have a Limited Lifetime Warranty. If they tear, you can send it in for repair.

Bella, I TOO have a list of the many dogs that I would love to own someday!! Dogs are just so awesome!! I love your heart for animals! Joe- You would make such a great dad, because you are definitely an amazing Funcle!! I love how patient you are with the kids and how you take time to help each kid and turn so many moments into teachable moments that will help them become independent, self-sufficient adults. Also, as far as dating goes, SAME!!! First dates are tough, so if you do something active, it takes some of the pressure off. I think batting cages, putt-putt, Top Golf, and axe throwing would all be amazing first dates. Sitting across the table from someone trying to keep a conversation flowing is awkward and uncomfortable. If you start with an activity, even if you decide the person isn’t for you, you still get to have fun! And it can really tell you a lot about a person’s personality and character to do something a little competitive. If it’s going well and you decide to go get dinner, you’ve broken the ice and automatically have a shared experience to talk about. Dating is tough! Especially dating in your 40’s. If I didn’t live across the country (Ohio) I think a date with you would be a lot of fun!! Keep trying though. You deserve someone great!! ❤

what do you do with your old backpacks? don't they hold up longer than one year? just curious. In Germany a kid normally uses ones backpack a couple of years. Same with pencil boxes etc.

I think it’s interesting how different the school culture in the USA is compared to Germany! In Germany you’ll get a special bookbag called a „Tornister or Schulranzen „ in first grade it’s a very sturdy bag and the kids wear it from 1st - 4th grade and from 5th grade onwards most kids use normal school bag packs ! I just love your back to school videos!
