@@EpicCheese-cu2smwhy would RU-vid be doing anything about it if it’s not illegal. You can argue that it’s unethical but it’s not illegal. You have responsibilities to thoroughly research before purchasing as well. In a sense Louis Vuitton are dropshippers too and other branded goods since most of their items are made in China or Vietnam for $2 anyways, paste their brand logo on it and sell it for $500 in the US

@@garagesale_gladiators463 No, that's the thing: the "prototype" is a public use 3d print file that's been around for 6 ish years, if not longer. It's worse.
Fun fact: the prototype is a free 3d printable model. And the 'finished product' is them stealing it and putting a steering wheel on it. Edit: It's stealing because the 3d model is protected with a No Commercial use license.
My friends. This is just 3d printed. You can buy it from people who make and ship out prints as a business or do it yourself without an outrageous upcharge.
For those who have really designed things, the prototype is more ergonomic than the end, even more resistant, and if it were not little both files are in thingiverse ready to be printed
Fun fact: this is a free, unlicensed 3d print. It is very easy to print a wheel of different shape too if you wanted with combining free steering wheel models and the existing mentioned 3d print.
Anyone saying “I need a 3D printer” there are lots of public places where you can use one. My local library has one free to use, so don’t overpay for some shitty plastic
For the prototype your thumbs were supposed to go in the two loops for more grip control. The final product just went for a recognizable style, but unlike it's prototype it will take more getting use to since you're using thumbs to steer.
@@KovahronixI understand that’s it’s obviously worth it to just buy it from this person for $10-15 rather than buy a $200 3D printer, thats not my issue, my issue is that he’s making it look like he created it and there’s no credit to the person who actually did, no where on the site does it say you can’t use the model for commercial use but he should still give credit.
Now hold on here buddy, it's not 25 cents for the material. It's like 5 dollars for one print if it's small and then plus how long it takes to make too@@h4xp
@@rillwrldnot even, there are 3D printing sites where you can get any file 3D printed for a couple of bucks in the material you want (the price will change depending on the type of material )
Make a huge one the size of a normal steering wheel with more realistic steering. Shit would be a hit. Edit: I realized you would not be able to accelerate or break so if possible could you add like the steering wheel clutches that are connected to R2 and L2 instead and maybe make them move with the steering wheel so you can comfortably move and break at the same time etc. would be nice to have like a controller mount for the edge of the table as well. This fr could be a cheap alternative for racing sim
@@jacobstratton6414they clearly aren’t saying that 3d printing is free dawg bffr. they’re saying the *file* is free. the 3d print *file.* are you illiterate?
@@user-dp6lr5tn9w I know that’s not what he’s saying. I’m saying the file is the least expensive part of printing, and most of them are free. So why point out the fact that it’s a free file? He’s trying to belittle the product by saying “Reselling a free 3D print file”. Hence why I said, “You say that LIKE 3D printing is free.” Completely disregarding the time, money, and labor one has to put into making that product, and only focusing on the fact that the file is free (which almost all are).
@@jacobstratton6414 they’re profiting off of a file someone else made dawg. they didn’t do any work other than pressing the button to print. it’s also extremely overpriced. you’re meatriding a shitty “company”
@@jacobstratton6414 this seller was not given the right to sell products made using this file. it’s theft they’re stealing the work of someone else and profiting off of it.
@@goddess2k obv there's a limit to who can freely make it, but you can buy one for 200, the ender 3, and obv you can go higher but i HIGHLY recommend you get one. if you're an engineering student or smth in college it's even more useful, plus just being able to make stuff you don't have to buy, etc.
@@goldenalex bruh, do you seriously hear how gross and lame you sound? Trying to shame someone for financial reasons? 3d printer is a waste of money for someone like me who doesn't need it for anything. also, some of us have adult responsibilities and don't waste everything on computers and toys. I had to adopt my teenage siblings this year bc my mom is abusing them, they're expensive and I'm only 23. Have you done anything besides thinking about your self this year at all? Clearly not. Y'all shame women for being golddigger then shame us for being broke? Make up your mind.
@@MrBackstab lmao what I was gonna say. Using 3d printing software is actually pretty difficult and takes skill. Stealing someone else's design tho doesnt
2 things. 1. Prototype might not look as good but better for actual play overall. 2. Game was not being played as it showed you can tell by the timing of the left turn.
@@jedbowley7126 Still, he wasn't actually playing the game with the controller at that time. You can tell the controller movements don't match up with what's on the screen.
2 things. 1. The prototype is a 3D printable file. 2. Forza is an Xbox exclusive. To make this more convincing, they should’ve used Gran Turismo 7, a PlayStation exclusive.
Guess what, to make it worse its literally a stolen model from a 3d print! Literally google 3d print wheel for controller and search in images, first thing u see....
The prototype looks waaay more comfortable than the final product imo. I feel like the thumbs can easily slot in the holes making it easier than the real looking wheel edit: wow didnt expect to get noticed like this 0-0
@@TheBreadIord It’s a specialised product for a niche market, you need high margins to justify a product which won’t sell a lot of units. You’re also not factoring in the upfront costs to have a 3d printer, to set it up and configure it for a smooth print it’s not always “plug n play”, the time invested in developing the design, the potential money he invested in marketing it, the website and domain costs.
If they're on PC and using something like DS4, you can actually turn off the LEDs. Not saying that's the case here, but the LEDs don't always have to be on.
@anBurenhas to be wired and using a programme. unsnure if hes using ds4windows but its deffinetely not wired up or even turned on for that matter lol (u can tell from light emitting from the controller when its on, which it isnt)
