I love directus, unlinke everything else you don't have to spin up a new database and u can add ur directus (CMS or other ) logic on seperate tables which can be removed when you want, if you want to move away from direct us. Thats an amaizing flexibility. None of the directus features are on paywall which is also a plus. The only thing direct-us is missing right now is being able to co-ordinate data with multiple sources ( databases ) which for me personally is not a problem cauz my client databases are pretty small. I feel so less pressured and at more ease using directus. ps : I have used strapi, directus, ghost cms before.
Directus made docs purposefully bad so you go to their cloud. Every example is them using cloud. Their plan is to make you angry so you end just choosing their cloud. But instead, I'm just leaving Directus and choosing either Payload Strapi

Thanks 👍 webiny form builder didn't have file upload when I tried it but seemed very interesting - the version updates will be a bit difficult I presume if the pulumi scripts fail. Ended up using craftcms.
No, it gets complicated when performing uploads when the user isn't authenticated which is why it was left out. Haven't seen many problems with Pulumi so far but anything can break! Glad it was useful.
Very disappointed with this review. I search for Directus and payload vs the other you suggested. They were mention but you did not provide any information as you did with strapi or the first 3 cms. I would love to see a full review of them all. Which one would you use
Based on my research directus is the best open source headless cms right now. Cause it's easy to self host, export/import your db, no limitations & have built in analytics(insights) thingy which could be a big selling point if you provide some kind of service that has numbers in it...

@@codingcocoon I took a quick look - their pricing is a bit much imo, $9 per user / month for just basic CMS features, then you have your hosting costs on top. No thanks.
@@bioburden I've never paid for any of my instances (I have about 4). I have paid in total about $3.00 (three dollars US) for 2 years of hosting, because it's serverless and I don't make a lot of API calls. Business tier is $9/user but that's only if you want multi-tenancy.
@@codingcocoon There's other features locked behind the paywall too. It's one thing if you're running a personal site versus a CMS that's tailored for an entire marketing team with various role & permission requirements etc.
