There's a lot of different brands and lines of paint for you to choose from, and it can be hard to know which one to go with. We bought four different gallons of paint in the $30 price range and stacked them up to see which is the best!

I've used all but the Valspar. And let me tell you. Sherwin Williams is the worst. I used that same captive. It was horrible. 3 coats. Speedhide is good. But Ultra 500 is the best.

Probably too late, but the answer, based on my non-expert opinion and lots of research, would be to add a mildewcide to the paint you choose. Get a good mid to high grade paint, and then add that to it and it should help. The actual solution to the problem is to either clean your bathroom exhaust fan, or replace it (or install one if you don't have one now). Getting rid of the moist air is the solution to the issue. If you just keep the wet air in the room and paint the room, the only thing you'll be doing is sealing the water in and letting it continue to damage your house (by promoting mold growth)
