Yeah sure the pipes normally have a conduit around them so when they are in the walls or floors they have some protection and can be removed and replaced if necessary. Yes you can certainly use the white for all applications including domestic water hot and cold. 👍

No they don't. They have a 12/17 thread. Which is a 1/4" thread. Sometimes they supply an adapter. You can buy a brass adapter bush to convert them though available in most DIY stores.

PEX and PER can be interchanged and the fittings will work. Just make sure the inside diameter of the pipe is the same. The white pipe is actually PEX with an extra layer of aluminium in there which is why they use different fittings. Please test one fitting before you do a whole house system on my advice ! 💪👍

Yes you can use the olive ones but you need to put a separate insert (like the pushfit) inside. 👍

No it's not recommended. But they do matching compression fittings for multicouche with the inside support already there.

Hi, there are specialist crimps available for different pipes and fittings. However we are just dealing with DIY store available products here. As such the crimp tool will crimp all types commonly available in 90% of the stores. So if you buy the tool from Leroy Merlin's and buy the fittings from Brico depot they will work. Also if you have PEX and multicouche the tool works on both from more or less any manufacturer. Hope that helps. AJ

@@ajinfrance Many thanks. Is there a difference between PEX and PER pipe? I noticed from DIY web sites that the compression PER fittings are slightly different!! After watching your video Im going to use the push fit and short runs of copper into my new shower to maintain the water flow (planning to use one of the shower plates to attach mixer tap). Im going ot ditch the idea of using crimp and put the cost of th tool towards push fit fittings. Have you gone with a manifold system as this seems a popular and sensible way of creating the plumbing network. Im new to French plumbing and the array of fittings, pipes and 'bits' can be baffling so thanks again for your really helpful video. 😀👍

@@thehinshaws7499 in my own house I use a manifold system in the basement for everything. My brother's house which is more normal than mine there is a manifold per bathroom with the feed to each done in 16mm then 12mm for the toilet and basin, 16mm to the shower. Using pushfit is an easy way just as long as you use the inserts, either plastic or metal. There are chemical differences in PEX and PER mainly affecting temperatures and flexibility but generally speaking it's the sizes you are worried about for the internal dimension for crimps. For pushfit the outside diameter is critical but that is standardised so 16mm copper is the same as 16mm PEX. The multicouche (white) is PEX outer, aluminium layer then PEX inside layer for info. The solid red and blue is usually PER. Hope that helps.
