To be honest the first PR1 ship is pretty important because of the catch-up system. 300 BP allowed me to PR25+ my Saint Louis before I even unlocked my second PR ship (Monarch). My Saint Louis got fate5 before I finished my last PR1 ship (Izumo).
What a coincidence. I went with Louis -> Roon -> Monarch. Got SL up to Fate 4, working on 5. Roon at Dev 27, and Monarch at Dev 19. Good to know my own research landed right within your recommendations! :D
Ibuki is my one and only waifu in the game. Shy, cute , blushes easily, hardworking ( swings her sword a thousand times a day) and I could literally start a cult worshipping her armpits. You could only gaze upon her in awe and be extremely grateful you get to witness such a godlikely being. Not to mention she's extremely strong, especially her skills. SSS TIER WAIFU
Few words on Neptune. She was my first PR and my first Fate Sumulated PR and I've been using her for a long time. I think that qualifies me to say - dont bother (you are going to unlock her anyway just dont waste your money with face reserch on her). Yes , she is a Zombie with OK AP DMP (She has very good AP shells , especially after FS) but her problem is Armor/HP pool. Pretty much the only UK fleet combo to allowes her to be good is sitting between Drake and Cheshire. If you try to use UK CL line , she just dies (even if she is sitting at the back or middle). Her heal activates way to quicly which forces her to finish battles at low HP or dead. In most events , she is OK to be alone but in OS and W13 farm she just dies all the time or drains your heal boxes. I've tried all kinds of builds but the result is still the same. She just needs some HP buff to make her heal work like the others. The best picks are Monarch and Ibuki. Roon is one of the best tanks in the game but her problem is that she is good Mober but bad Bosser because of her offencive skill. She just changes ammo all the time and that handycaps her vs Bosses but helps vs Mobs. Izumo is the weakest pick. St.Lue is good but only if you have Rechelue , if you dont - dont bother.
Neptune can be a bloody beast. I remember when I started playing, in PVP I encountered a Dev30 Headnod sortied with QE, plus Montpelier and London. I didn't know these ships at the time, but boy, when her AAA activated the first time it absolutely shredded my vanguard
Did St Louis first because she unlocked first, due to my Union development being way ahead of everyone else! No regrets, St Louis with speed and rapid fire accessories added is a strong & versatile light cruiser. Then I completed Ibuki and Neptune a few months ago, simultaneously. Currently working on Izumo, and I need to go back and finish Monarch sometime. Not a fan of Roon so will only go back and build her for the collection.
I agree with the rankings tbh considering I went similar. Albeit I choose Monarch first for her design/voice when she was revealed + an excuse to use Prince of Wales more. I went Monarch, Saint Louis, Roon, Ibuki, Neptune and Izumo last. But I got unlucky with Prints so only SL and Izumo are not dev 30 yet.
A bit late on this comment but Neptune's All Out Assault is very very good. It fires a ton of shells, spreads across almost the entire screen, and absolutely shreds armor, and she fires it off pretty often if you have her geared properly. She can deal out a ton of damage for a Vanguard ship but she is a bit of a glass cannon. Even with the zombie skill she dies very fast. Still think she is a good ship just due to her damage.
i'm surprised by the low neptune evaluation. my hiryuu meta team was monarch, howe, warspite retro, cheshire, neptune, drake. neptune kept up with cheshire consistently. my drake isn't done yet. she's pr 19 with a gold gun. she already does the same damage as the other two O_O
@@Kimocheese i see. the feeling i meant to convey was more along the lines of: "if the really good neptune is considered bad, then the other ones must be even more incredible (*ﾟﾛﾟ) " i followed your advise from an older video and went to pr3 for now. my pr1 is only halfway done atm. that's why i haven't played with saint louis, ibuki and izumo myself yet.
I have all the research ships at dev 30. including the DR ones. My izumo has 189 prints ready, the exp grind is done, but imma just not complete her research lol.
I am new player and I just pick Saint Louis and I am halfway in development unlock and already got 19 blueprints of her and because event I already got 30 prints of Monarch, after just one week playing and because for some weird reason the Build only pull me Eagle Union ships I am almost close to unlock in PR2 one of the Union ones :D
Going for Roon, she will replace Prinz Eugen in my main fleet since she is basically the same thing but way more damage. I got Saint Louis, but I am unsure how to apply her to my fleets currently.
Roon has very dumb HP (atleast = or higher than Prinz Eugen) and she can kill all of the type of enemy because her skill change the HE and AP ammo type when the main gun shot 2 times.... And a BETTER Shield than Prinz .... Lol in WoWs she is tier 9 and Prinz only tier 8 so its alright that Roon is better than Prinz in all stats (but Roon has no Oath skin fukc)
did my pr ships in a really weird order almost done with ibuki, then ill work on izumo. pr2 i just need georgia. pr3 i already have champagne and cheshire, not sure who ill work on after that though.

Roon muse in terms of damage is OP, in fact her barrage makes the enemy take hella dmg. For vanguard dps, Roon muse is easily far better than regular roon, as her first skill pretty much helps the entire fleet, more helpful in boss fleets ig. Regular roon is still good in terms of tank tho, roon muse doesn't have any advantage in that regard.
@@Benjiro9571 nice, personally I'm sad that I don't have roon muse, cause I was on hiatus during her event. The vanguard fleet dps with her is quite insane.

Man just change Izumo's barrage and make her 2nd skill into a self buff. Done. Unless they cancel PR4, I don't see how they can allow people to farm enough UR prints
Cant wait for pr2. I stopped playing azur lane for gbf(magna grids, my main would be light and dark), now i returned to azur lane because of uss event bremerton(i bought baltimore tennis), and worked hard to grab uss georgia.
Idk when but i did submit my acc for the review but it is kinda outdated but whatever. Im still open for any suggestions and tips for a casual even tho i sacrificed other mobile games for azur lane(daily login and gacha sparkfor gbf) and ps4 games like cod warzone, rocket league, etc.
if you unlock the ship I believe in the top left corner you have the enhance tab and there is a lot of useful info about the stats the ship will get on dev. lvl 10 15 20 25 30 but most of the time it will depend on the ship itself.
