Hi everyone Wolf Lord Rho here,
Today we begin the discussion of which of his brothers would Roboute Guilliman choose to return? And how his choice may not be the best suited.

There's really only one answer. He needs Dorn. He needs the Praetorian of Terra. What's more, the imperium needs Dorn. Dorn can lead the defensive effort of the imperium whilst Guilliman focuses on streamlining and cleansing the incredibly, seethingly corrupt bureaucracy of the Imperium. Not to mention the insane morale boost for the Imperium when everyone learns that the defender of the Throneworld has returned.

In terms of who he needs, yeah Dorn is deifnitely the best. They're like two sides of the sae coin, where Guilliman is a master of strategy involving people (so the politics of the Imperium and troop movements) Dorn is basically a master of strategy involving infrastructure. People like Russ are fine for combat, but the Imperium is facing constant battles on all sides and a primarch can only be one place at a time, so what they really need are Dorn and Guilliman to pull the Imperium out of the dark ages.
@geenah5052
@geenah5052 4 года назад
Completely agree, I think its best demonstrated in that 40k Guilliman acts more like Dorn than 30k Guilliman which IIRC was remarked in the imperial fists codex supplement. I would really love to see the Lion back first from a narrative standpoint, as I think the conflict there with re-opening of old wounds from imperium secundus. But Dorn is by far the best choice. The imperium hasn't needed a wall like Dorn this much since the heresy, possibly more so.

I think first and foremost Guilliman's thoughts would go Sanguinius and he'd lament him not being a viable option. But he'd think Jaghatai is an unknown in times when he need certainty. Russ would be a great asset on the front lines but he'd never be able to get Russ to do anything Russ doesn't want to. He would think that he and Johnson would argue to much and not get enough done. Corax would be extremely helpful in between his attempts to murder Lorgar. Dorn would be a great fit due to Guilliman being able to trust Dorn to establish defense where needed so he could focus more fully on bringing the fight to the traitors. But Vulcan brings so much more than any of his brothers could bring. He'd bring a renewed hope that the Imperium can survive. He would bring a god-like forge master to the equation that could result in better equipment for the Imperium's warriors. He also bring a nigh unstoppable warrior to any battle plan Guilliman could create. This would also give Guilliman someone who could weed out the corruption in hierarchy of the Imperium or allow him to focus more on doing so. Overall I doubt he'd be happy to see anyone other than Dorn, Vulcan or Corax but he wouldn't turn down any of his brothers at this point. In fact I think he could take advantage of any of them. As for who he needs most, currently he needs any help he can get and all of them are extremely capable in pretty much anything they decide to do. I think the order of them coming back though will be: Johnson, Jaghatai, Corax, Sanguinius with the psychic awakening, Dorn and Vulcan together with Russ being the final loyalist to return. Though I think once the first three are back that the rest will return fairly quickly.

Great video! When it comes down to it, I think Guilliman would prefer Corax. He and Corax not only were complementary, but got along well. Corax's new powers could be employed to devastating effect, maybe even teaching the Avenging Son how to get his mojo on. He would butt heads with Dorn. I think the Lion is the best of all the primemarchs, but we already know how that is going to go. The Wolf King would be similar to the Lion in many ways. The Khan simply would not take direction and would therefore frustrate our poor logistition.

Vulcan for a few reasons. First his conversations with Dante show that he wants the imperium to be more enlightened and Vulcan's affinity for base line humans would play to that well. Second Vulcan's forge and smithing skills are sorely needed in an era where most of the best tech is not understood. This might also make him a good emissary to the Mechanicum. Third is that he's a perpetual so he can pretty much go to any battle and expect to survive. And as most have mentioned: fourth is that he just needs a bro bro to do bro things with.

Khan. Khan’s level-headed thinking would keep Guilliman’s thought patterns very clear. Khan has the ability to sense when things are wrong and only interjects his thoughts when he feels he has to. He will allow Roboute to rule as he sees fit but will also calmly raise his concerns if and when he has them.

Could've mention that The Lion swore he'd never see a primarch rise to father's office, or attempt to rebuild The Imperium after Imperium Secondus collapsed (mostly due to him lying to Sanguinius & Guilliman about everything).The Lion returning to The Imperium would be a civil war. No two cents about, he isn't pragmatic, the old knight is set in his ways, and takes his oaths seriously. Go read when The Lion & Guilliman attempted to "rebuild" The Imperium the first time (The Unremembered Empire, Pharos, Angels of Caliban, and Ruinstorm). It was a nightmare. I low key would love this happen in like 9th edition it could be an interesting development.

It would probably be Sanguinius as he could be seen as a legitimat successor to the Emperors throne and a solid image of hope. He would be reluctant to embrace a returned Lion, especially as he already knows the Dark Angels covertly operate as a Legion, but remain Loyal to the Emperor, and distrust him already. However having The Lion return would allow Guilliman to have the best stratigic battle comander while Guilliman starts fighting the burucracy of the Imperium. Guilliman as Regent and The Lion as Warmaster/Supreme Lord Solar could be good for the Imperium.
@OculusOccluded

I would say that the Primarch that Guilliman would want back the most is Vulkan. Simply because, he is the most human. He would be able to provide the most emotional, mental and spiritual support. Though the one the Imperium would need the most would either be Rogal Dorn or Lion El'Jonson. Although Guilliman would like to have Dorn back, since he was a supporter of Guilliman, he isn't exactly much of a mental or emotional support.

I feel like the lion is the best one to return (partial personal bias) How he would react to the splitting of the legions?, He'd probably be pissed but not so much due to the fact the sons of the lions as by far the most cohesive and organised of the split legions, they often operate together and are basically a pseudo legion so it would take very little for it to effective refore itself into a legion As for why he is the best to return, yes he probably would disagree more with guilliman than others but his return would forge his successors into an unstoppable force, he has sired among the most successors after G and dorn, he is unwaveringly loyal to the emperor but also inst afraid to say it how it is, his tactical prowess is stated to be second to none with Horus becoming warm water before him due mostly to his more personable demeanor alone, the lion at the head of his sons would be a force unseen since the heresy that would turn the tide of the greater war

Omg, no... I'm sorry, but if the Lion was to return any time soon to the 41st millenium, he'd start chopping heads left and right, and completely destroy what Roboute has been trying to build up until now. While all that is probably fully warranted, and would certainly weed out a lot of the worst elements in the ruling hierarchy, I don't think a civil war is what the IMperium needs the most right now.

Discounting Sanguinius I'd say Vulkan because it would give him a brother. He seems to crave someone to call family someone to understand what it means to be a primarch. Given the reality of the current Imperium he'd want Sanguinius. Whilst the others are all great assets they don't provide anything that the Imperium doesn't already possess (albeit to a lesser degree) and in many cases would disrupt facets of the Imperium that can't afford to be disrupted at this perilous time. Of all the Primarch's still to return Sanguinius is the one most likely to bring greatest amount of hope to the Imperium at large without a detrimental affect to the workings of the Imperium.

This is a loaded question because all his brothers would alleviate the problem that comes with being as orderly/ methodical as Guilliman. Vulcan would reforge his brothers with better equipment and spirit. Helping to purge enemies and holy fire through steadfast lines and giving the normal citizenry hope. Russ is needed for his ferocity. His experience in the warp could have sharpened his instincts and wit, giving Space Wolves and guardsmen inspiration to confront and defeat heretics and daemons Khan is needed for his wisdom and mobility. While keeping a low profile he can inspire others to use quick precision strikes for maximum effect, where a massive force would fail. Especially powerful tool against necrons. Lion provides additional leadership effectively resolving conflicts within the imperium and providing effective combat against the warp. Dark Angels pretty much have a problem with everyone but once he back that shit will get squashed immediately. His presence cuts the amount of stress and strain for the imperium in half. I'm not sure Corvax should come back right now but he's effective at killing things in the warp, wont do a whole lot without additional primarchs. Dorn...unless his time in the void has thought him how to be a better siege tactician he'll really only be helpful for defensive assignments from other xenos, very necessary but the impact wouldn't make everyone change their tune

I'd said, Dorn. Guilliman is leading the crusade and he definitely needs somone to help with the defense of the more vulnerable worlds. Vulkan too would be nice, he understands the need to protect imperial citizens. He is more human of the bunch and that too could be used against him sadly. We need someone hard and tactical. The Lion!

What 40k need, is not a primarch returning, but is to have a rebel and yet NON chaos chapter, I think this would stir so much the lore that it is pretty much on a dead end as of right now. Maybe if you really want a primarch to return, I think El johnson or Russ could do something like this, or maybe even Vulkan. Let say Vulkan returns, but he sees that the Imperium has fallen into beeing as evil as chaos in the way it serves it's common citizens. Or maybe Russ returns as a Beastial Werewolf and no longer reconizes the Emperor on his current state as to be the same he once loved and yet dispises Chaos. Stuff like this could also bring different new factions or even better, bring back some mishaps like f-ing squats...we need space dwarves done right... If another Primarch returns, it will be the end of 40k soon afer, specially if it's Dorn. Them there would be a reboot right after. Not the GW really cares about making sense of the fluff as long as sales keep up anyway.

Personal? Vulkan (good Human beeing,thrustworth in every fibre). Practical: the Lion (Tactical Genious and best Warrior in the whole Imperium). For the Fun? Someone test the Blood of Tyberos and see that he is one of the lost Primarchs. (Could be very funny :-) )

Here's what I think he should choose to bring back for the Imperium: it's either Russ or Dorn. Russ because he'll help out with the frontlines and help the Imperium win their battles, he'll slay any Xenos, Heretics, and Daemons from the Imperium. The only con is that Russ wouldn't like it if Roboute ordering him around. Dorn is someone Roboute really needs for the Imperium. Dorn is well-known on Terra, he's great with fortifications, he's one of the few brothers that Roboute trust that can do job, and finally he's loyal to a fault. Dorn will help Roboute fix the Imperium and make better defenses as well, and he'll do it without question. Next is who Roboute needs the most: it's Johnson, and Vulkan. Now I know Johnson is not the best choice for this, but Roboute needs someone with outstanding military tactics and strategies, ones the outstrips his own, and Johnson is the right choice for that. Yes they'll bump heads against each other but Roboute will needs someone who has better military tactics and strategies than him and would give it to him for the upcoming future ahead. Finally Vulkan would be the best choice because, he'll give his brother a warm welcome, happily embrace him in a hug, would be there for him when down, and he'll be there for him when he doubts himself and would loves to have a brother being there to support him and raise his hopes up. Also I he'll need Russ since Russ know of a cure to help bring Big E back with the Tree of Life *coughs* Isha the Goddess of Life *coughs* sonce it's located in the Nurgle's Domain. But yeah those are my opinions on who should Roboute bring back for the Imperium and who he needs to be brought back. I fine with anyone else opinion on the matter.

Sanguinius , End of story, If he came back, The war would clearly be over, He was respected and loved by every one of his brothers and would have been made emperor if the imperium was lost.

Though I completely agree the Ferrus and Sanginious are dead dead, in fiction though, no one is ever "dead." The most useful primarch that could return, would be Sanginious, Dorn or Russ, though Sanginious most likely will never return to "life." You do run into the problem that Dorn and Russ would "create waves" in their return. Russ would be way more independent and Dorn would try to cooperate but would come to blows with Rowboat pretty quick. The primarch I would absolutely love to see return, but with a twist, would be Horus but loyal. Again I know he's dead dead but again its fiction its entirely possible for him to come back and be a "good guy".

Vulkan or Russ. Vulkan because it would be a huge boost for RG's and the Imperiums morale , Russ because Wolves are my fave chapter. Not saying Russ wouldn't boost morale, but Vulkan I think would also be a more reliable brotha. Although Isn't Russ already in the EoT? He should know what the other Primarchs are up to.

The sad part... When Horus approached Malcador and Malcador basically said Primarchs could not lead the Imperium... this kinda proves he was wrong... and in a sad way Horus was right. (In this story) Basic humans cannot seem to get it together. Then again neither can the Primarchs... all in all I imagine the end of this story ends with Chaos winning

Sanguinius and Ferrus are dead, Russ is too brash, Dorn waaay too stubborn, Lion is a master tactician, but he doesn't get people, and the Imperium needs both a warlord and a politician, so he drops out. Corax and Khan are both more into their own thing than the overall betterment of mankind, so Vulkan is the only one left. A. He loves humanity. B. He can't die. C. Master-crafted battlegear for everybody!
