Except he didn't duel the most. Yami Yugi/Yugi as "Yugi Mutou" have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
It's weird to think about how Yugi never even came close since you'd think that with the episode count for Duel Monsters, Yugi would have been up there with Yuya and Yusei. But no. Duel Monsters had so many multipart duels that a single duel could last 4 episodes.
@@timothyskidmore1554 why I like duel monsters but could never rewatch it all. Seriously how do scrubs like Rex and weevil get 4 part episodes of dueling. Then don’t get me started if it was somebody important like Kaiba or Pegasus. I’m Glad GX changed it to where the only time Jaden had multiple part episode duels was against important characters like Zane,Aster,Chazz,Yubel, etc and even then it was only two-three episodes.
Wow, I knew Jaden dueled alot in GX, but 78?! The guy was probably the only character in GX that even had double digit duels! He's like Goku with a duel disk, lol!
Sore wa dou kana! *Passionate Duelists starts playing* Yami Yugi/Yugi as "Yugi Mutou" have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
I mean I feel that's pretty cool considering throughout all the protagonist's Jaden is the one that loves to duel the most, I mean he was the first passionate duelist we were introduced where his main goal was to have fun, and be the next king of games. It was only in the later seasons where the plot went deeper into his whole past life stuff with yubel and being the supreme king stuff
Still not enough to surpass Yami Yugi/Yugi. Yami Yugi/Yugi combined have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
Judai obviously best character, "heroes always win in the end" when ppl say unbeaten MC exist, they forgor there was no challenge there. But GX built different, no op cards with fair and square duel
This is my king. Yami Yugi/Yugi as "Yugi Mutou" have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
Several duels in DM spanned at least 3-6 episodes long. Some of those duels didn’t even feature Yugi as a duelist yet still took a while just bc of slow pacing. That and I do not recall Yugi participating in many duels that lasted just one episode.
You mean the guy who dueled every person and almost had to beat every villain minor or major. I want to know how many major duels were won bye other characters.
Half of the first season was Judai dueling with filler characters. Also many times he dueled was kinda forced and i think other characters should've gotten a chance.
He duels anytime. In dreams, on break, in cafeteria, with spirits, with zombies, with people who almost buried his friends, with old people, he even is married to dueling because Alexis inspired him that there is no time for dating
Not this one. Yami Yugi/Yugi combined have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
I really don't understand why the KA duels in the final arc of DM don't count as duels. They are duels. If anything, they are the original duels since they were the reason why Pegasus made Duel Monsters (The game) in the first place. If Riding Duels from 5Ds count as duels despite the fact that they are very different from OG duels, why don't KA duels count? So, does Nasch VS Vector (From ZeXal) not count? That duel was entirely a KA duel as well. The yugipedia itself counts it as a duel.
I just discovered a yugioh animation error In Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds S1 Epi 2 in a flashback where Yusei duels Jack, on Jack's field is the monster Mad Archfiend but on Jack's Duel Disk is Stardust Dragon - it's only shown for a second so it's easy to miss I thought it's a funny mistake since Jack stole Stardust Dragon
Honestly we shouldn't see a yugioh protagonist duel that many times. When you watch GX Judai is the only one actually doing anything. Every side character is pushed to the side constantly. Yugioh 5D's did a much better job with it's core cast than GX did although even 5D's had problems
Honestly, that doesn't surprise me. GX was the start of the trend of having the main character participate in 90% of the duels in the show, plus GX was much more episodic than OG Yu-Gi-Oh, having the main character go up against a villain of the week, and most duels, at least in the first couple seasons, only lasting one episode.
True, I expected Chezz, Bastion, Syrus , Zane and possibly Alexis to get good arcs by the end where they become respectful duelists that could from time to time go toe to toe with Jaden but nope, make all duels about Jaden. Then again, Dark King and Yubel arc were the most intresting parts of the first 3 yu gi ohs I watched and Jaden was possibly my favourite protagonist soo I can’t complain too much I guess.
I think it's mostly because of development episodes in GX.. No, I'm not calling them filler. Filler is 100% useless to the story and can be skipped without the person skipping it losing anything important.
I'm guessing we're only counting on screen I'm just saying because Yuma Right after losing astral lost 20 duels in a row to his fat friend as stated by him
Actually I think it’s even higher than that, if your counting Stated Duels and Flashback duels I’m pretty sure Judai actually has 100 Duels and Yuma still coming in second with 95 which is much much closer, how did he catch up so much, well the 23 loses to Bronk that we’re stated to happen over the course of a day technically counted in that so that helped Yuma a lot to get closer but Judai definitely still has the most in the series, I like saying this more only because getting to say Judai hit 100 Duels is just really really cool to me, so sad Yuma just missed it but what can you do
Not more than Yami Yugi/Yugi. Yami Yugi/Yugi combined have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
I feel like that doesn't mean a lot because Judai had a lot of one episode duels, where say, Yugi has a lot of duels that are paced in several episodes so of course he has less duels since all shows have comparable lengths Though ngl for a second I thought that feat would come to Yusei but makes sense he doesn't have more, he had to share the spotlight with a lot of characters, though that spotlight was mostly taken by Crow and Jack
@@rob19ny yeah I know about the manga part but these aren't duels though. Though I really love this part that no one will know of if you don't read the manga
@@mitsunitaiko1742 "But those aren't duels though". A duel is between 2 or more opposing sides. That is the universal definition. In the original Yugioh (manga and 1998 anime) and its concept (by Kazuki Takahashi) of playing many different games, hence its title Yuugi Ou (Game King), every game that is played is a duel. During Monster World, Zorc says "Our duel will have to wait" to Yugi and co. as he flees to his castle. Konami nor anyone else gets to change the definition of "duel" to mean only card games. Takahashi's Yugioh means every game played.
That's Yami Yugi. Yami Yugi/Yugi combined have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
Do you count all of yumas off screen losses to bronk before his plot armour kicked in? Lol. Tbh i thought yami yugi would have dueled the most surprised that its jaden!
Yami Yugi/Yugi as "Yugi Mutou" have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
Then you have to count Yami Yugi/Yugi beating Jonouchi 187 times when they prepared for Duelist Kingdom. Anyway, Yami Yugi/Yugi combined have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
@@brownell947 Develop your brain instead of giving the same incorrect response when someone states facts to you. The manga is source material of the original series. It is the FULL story. The DM anime is NOT the full story. It starts at chapter 60 of the manga in episode 2. Episode 1 was a reboot episode combining Yugi and Kaiba's first meeting with their Death-T duel that was aired in Japan in 1998 in Episode 3 and 23/24 of the original 1998 anime. The anime spinoffs are the source material of the spinoffs. They are the full story. It is unfair to the original series to use DM's incomplete story and compare it with spinoffs that tell their full story. You clearly agree that its fair to do that so you're an illogical clown.
You're disrespecting the source manga again. Yami Yugi/Yugi as "Yugi Mutou" have 79 games if you read the source manga and not only watch the DM anime that does not start at the beginning of the story.
Man. Your life revolves too much around these Japanese kids playing card games. I recommend you use the field spell card called “grass” but in real life.
Its Judai because u switched to the japanese translation, because there isnt english one prolly LMAO. YOu didnt even realize tf u watching i guess... Eng dub - jaden Eng sub - Judai
