LADIES/GENTLEMEN/ROYAL THEYS. If you are using a spray…DONT. SCRUNCH. YOUR. FACE. WHILE. SPRAYING. Don’t scrunch while doing your makeup in general but especially when you are using a product that moves, is liquid, or a spray! Relax your face (including your eyes), tilt your head slightly back, spray, then keep your face relaxed till it dries. 👏🥰💗
I love the ELF formula, but I have to transfer it into another bottle I got from daiso less than a dollar. The finer mist makes a big difference. An extra step but it's worth it.
Was anyone actually surprised that the Kylie product is trash? Lol... I wanted to love this video but my skin is super dry, so I am not looking for the same qualities in a setting spray. I used to use MAC Fix +, but didn't like the smell or the price. I've always wanted to try Tatcha and Pixi, but I think for now, especially for the cost, I will stick with my NYX Dewy finishing spray.
Doesn't the nyx dewy have glitter inside? I have the matte nyx. Just bought it this week for 8 bucks at Ulta. I'm not even expecting much I just like the way it feels to spray after applying my make up. Haha
@@nikkib473 no, no glitter! I recently bought the Pixi one but have yet to really try it. I actually bought it months ago but the pump was broken and it took me awhile to exchange. I need that dewiness in winter but wearing a mask all day at work, it's kind of pointless. Lol
Man I wore the urban decay one for mabye 6 hours while doing my make up for prom and wearing it for all time in prom, and it sucked so badly! My makeup was wiping off before we even started sweating and it was a cool day to, my eyeshadow went all over without me even wiping or touching it and it left my skin feeling super sticky. Mabye I got a bad one but I’ll stick to hard candy honestly.
This was a nice video. I really liked the elf setting spray and used it a couple years ago. I used to wear really heavy makeup and it kept it in place very decently considering I didn't prep my oily skin correctly. I am considering going back to it again.
@@jordanperdue8986 it works just as effectively yes! 💯 If not more effective. My mum uses it as she has oily skin whereas I stick with the original or chill versions for my dry skin 🤗 the only time i use a different setting spray now is when wetting my brush to apply shimmer shadows lol 😅
I like the urban decay "deslick" better than the all nighter. I find the all nighter really intense and makes my face feel stiff and sticky. Deslick has the same effectiveness without feeling weird on my face
So I just looked into some primers. I've been using porefessional it's anywhere from $18 to $50. But it gives me a lot of acne. I looked into Elf primer putty and it's $8. It's amazing.
The Skindinavia Bridal setting spray is better than the UD All Nighter and is cheaper than it. It holds up in the hot and humid weather in Australia all day and into the night if needed.
@@Thesleepypoet I have been wearing it while wearing a mask and keeps my foundation in place really well and I don’t find my make up gets disturbed wearing it all day but I don’t know if it is 100% transfer proof.
I live in Florida and the humidity is insane, just like the heat. I have got to look into this! My best friend wedding is a couple months away and I'm doing her makeup and need a setting spray that will last
I’m oily and I’ve been using the urban decay all nighter and Mac setting spray for 6 years now . I heard the urban decay slick is better tho but idkkkkkk
I love in florida so i use the urban decay pollution control one and I honestly felt like its slightly better than the original somehow and its the same price, at least when I brought it, it was
I found the altar matt spray is good setting the makeup and make it long lasting. Is it me or some of you also encountered problems with the white droplets leaving marks on my clothes and hair. Other than that, great setting spray.
@@GomezFan160 Nico said that the ben nye nozzle doesn't work that well, and she said that the ben nye performed very similarly to the urban decay setting spray. So if you buy the urban decay first then refill it with ben nye once it's empty, you will be getting similar results and a finer mist for a cheaper price. If you like ben nye and the UD, you could spend less than half of the cost per oz for the same results. In this video, UD was cheaper per oz for these specific products (UD: $8.25/oz vs BN: $12/oz) a 4oz bottle of ben nye is $26, so ben nye is much cheaper($6.50/oz). Plus, Ben nye sells even larger refills for the setting spray(16oz for $48 [$3/oz], 8oz for $34 [$4.25/oz]). $3/oz is a less than half of $8.25/oz. Source: musson website(they sell stage makeup and other theater stuff), a verified seller of ben nye according to the ben nye website.
I have used the Nyx setting spray in dewy (I think it's called that) with the now discontinued Milani holographic primer. It held up during a lonnngg hot day in the summer. I went to a Gorillaz concert and had Gen. Admission, so we were on our feet for 4 ½ hours before they even started. Afterwards, exhausted and sweaty, when we got back to our hotel, I was AMAZED that I still had makeup on and eyeliner had not smeared. Total lasting time: about NINE hours. I also used Black Radience waterproof eyeliner that STAYED ON, and waterproof Bourjois Volume Glamour mascera.
There's still a huge hole in the beauty community online.... Everyone is an "ambassador", or on someone's payroll in a way they don't have to disclose that they're basically marketing. So no one can touch on the fact that there's never a "best" product for everyone... Bc ALL their content includes marketing. You can't convince me that creators actually start the "tag" videos, when every person mentions the same product or line. Coincidence that a product gets a short right before the brand expands that line or has a release of a similar product? Definitely not. Products mentioned go on sale shortly after... It's too many "coincidences" & too easy of a way for companies to skirt disclose rules. I love, love everything beauty, make up & skin care but the industry is insane. It's like everyone forgets that profit is #1 for most brands, they don't care about the consumer truly having the best products -most of the time. Most of these companies are run by businesses MEN... The goal is to sell. That being said, I'm still not fully on board with this whole "setting" spray thing, especially as a daily necessity. The main active ingredient is alcohol, a drying type. Just read ingredients on the stuff to fix broken powders, the alcohol is one of the few things that can melt makeup together. So, n Bc ppl don't want to touch up, they add even more drying products to their makeup... Sounds great way to need more hydrating products. Ppl for sure put too much faith in companies. How often new products launch....we really don't need them. Anyone ever Finish more than a couple products? Remember when we spent half as much bc less stuff existed?
Kirayni I don’t use a loose powder, more like a powder in a compact, and it helps with keeping my makeup in place, but I avoid areas like my chin, nose (dry areas) to ensure my skin doesn’t get too dry. I’ll just put the powder on underneath my eyes, and only a little bit.
I don’t know if anyone else does this but I find Ben Nye is quite heavy and makes you make face feel stiff. I dilute it with some Rosewater and it works really well. Do not scrunch your face with this setting spray it will crease 😂😂
You have oily skin ? that's why, setting spray doesn't work for oily skin. that's it. it's also funny that you said you love setting spray, how can an oily skin person love setting spray ? i have a dry skin and i hate moisturizer. i have oily skin and i love face oil. that doesn't make sense, i guess nowadays people just buy things without understanding the essence of the product. when you put make up on and you spray your face. some of the make up is dissolving by using setting spray. that's why it create that look where it looks better or more natural looking, it's actually works as a make up minimizer. you put too much make up, spray some of the setting spray, it dissolved some of the excess make up, and it create more natural look. that's why people sold by it. but when you have that oily skin, it dissolving some of the make up already since the beginning it thinning out your make up, and throughout the day your face constantly pumping out the oil, guess what. it would be a messed and it won't make your make up last long despite it called setting spray. because since the beginning you already thinning out your make up, and your oil make it worse. that's why you never find setting spray that works when you have oily skin.
Hải Ngọc Khánh Nguyễn Look. She is lovely. She is beautiful. But she is a vlogger/RU-vidr/Beauty Journalist. One of the most annoying things I find is the laziness of not doing research and preparation. Especially when you have the ability to stop filming to go google something. It’s simply unprofessional.
