Which Starting Class Is Right For You - Space Marine 2 

For those who want to be most efficient, there is a loadout that helps to maximize progression with several Classes. Because the weapon progression applies to all Classes that can use each weapon, one combo is particularly effective - Bolt Pistol and Chainsword. Tactical, Assault, and Vanguard can use the Bolt Pistol and Chainsword combo. So you can switch between those Classes and keep the weapon progression. That means you could clear missions faster and/or potentially run higher-difficulty missions sooner, earning more XP and customization points. I know that won't matter to many people, but if you think about those things, keep it in mind.

I think that the weapon choices really change the character of playstyles for each class as well. Take the heavy, the bolter and plasma generally want you to stay at mid to long range to do your damage while the melta rifle demands that you be extremely close to the enemy so you might be better served guarding a damage dealer instead of starting engagements. Then there are the perk choices that also change your class's emphasis. I like the Vanguard, Tactical, and Sniper as I generally prefer ranged support characters and play other characters if the team comp needs it.

Gonna max out every class but going to main bulwark as I love support classes in most games.

I think every class looks like a lot of fun and I will level every class fully. I'm pretty sure you can play every weapon in the campaign and I will just see which I enjoy the most. We can't have two of the same, which I like, so you have to have 3 classes you "main". Bulwark, Sniper and Tactical looks the most fun for me right now. But my playstyle changed a lot in Helldivers 2, from ranged and heavy armor to close combat and being nimble, so maybe I main Heavy in the end who knows.

i hope they add the one handed melee weapons to tactical class and also the flamer, chain axe and power axe

Hopefully we get to play as a Librarian at some point in the future

The heavy does the most dmg its not even close. Remember double melta gun and heavy plas and heavy bolter def out dps the sniper 😂 not a dig either just saying. Bulwark is gonna be the mainstay of almost every squad the banner is the best support in game. Its gonna be bully and the other two spots play whatever
