I would say the Minu is a compact stroller that actually works as an every day stroller, and as the only stroller in a family with one kid. The build quality, the wheel size and the absolute sports car stability is unmatched on any other compact stroller. And we’ve tried the Ant, the Butterfly, the Aer (Joolz), the Yoyo - you name it, we’ve tried it and the Minu beat them all to pieces. For travel we have the travel bag wich is great. If you check in any bag at all at the airport then just check in the Minu inside its travelbag aswell, there’s no problem with that. The Yoyo, Butterfly etc only makes sence if you travel without checking in any bags. If you check in one bag or more, you must ask yourself: Should I chose a stroller to fit as carry on luggage while travel with air plane - or should I chose a stroller to actually use and to walk with comfortably every day, and that is steady and comfortable after arriving at the destination while travelling? Try use any other compact stroller on the rough cubble stone roads in Rhodes and the bumpy streets in Istanbul as we used our Minu, and they would just brake down into junk all of them.

hi. What is your thoughts about using minu in countries where the roads are not proper? Im planning to get this. Wanted to know your experience

This is so helpful and precisely the approach I was leaning towards as a soon to be first time parent! Uppababy does have a travel safe program so if something happens to a stroller thanks to how the airlines manage checked in luggage - do you know if their repair/replacement policy is good?

@@coolglamour561 Well as I wrote in the comment we have been using it on cubble stone roads in Rhodes, and on very bumpy streets in Istanbul. Of course a larger stroller will work better on such places but the Minu managed the job perfectly okay. All other compact strollers would brake down if they were to be used in the same way as we’ve used our Minu. All other compact strollers is made for shopping inside gallerias - or while travelling, as hand luggage. However the Minu works perfectly as an everyday stroller.

The seat height makes a big difference on the Bugaboo!

We went with the uppa minu as our main stroller with attachements. We travel a few times a year, and that didn't seem enough of a reason to try to get an overhead fit stroller.

I like the sleekness of the butterfly and how it fits on the overhead compartments. I currently have the Uppababy Cruz V2 and love it. I wouldn’t mind getting an Uppababy compact stroller since I already have the infant snug seat but I just wish the MINU 2 would have been a lot more compact for travel. That’s a huge disappointment for me. So for that reason, most likely the butterfly will suit our lifestyle the best.

I (we) have had the Minu for over two years, and it’s absolutely amazing. We also have the Cruz V2 and we were checking a smaller stroller for the car etc and while loving the Cruz we discovered that the same brand (Uppababy) had the Minu. Now it’s our favorite stroller. It went from car stroller to our everyday stroller. It’s a compact stroller with the suspension you find only on bigger stroller. The build quality is absolutely top class. We have travelled with it (with the travel bag for it), no problem at all. Even the travel bag is 100% top class quality and the stroller is like new after using it with the travel bag. We have tried Bugaboo Ant, Silver Cross, Babyzen Yoyo and lately Bugaboo Butterfly. Just to understand that our old Minu beats them all to pieces. It SO steady to walk with! The other strollers we just sold them after like a month. Of those the Butterfly was best but the quality, the wheel size and the steadyness of the Minu is unmatched in the compact class. If you (like us) love the Cruz V2, then buy the Minu and I promise you’ll love it. Skip the Minu V2, buy a V1 on sale/ special deal instead - the changes are not so special on the V2. The price on the V1 is crazy right now - most stroller for the money, you can get.

@@steelbear4887we have the Cruz V2 and got the butterfly stroller and transport bag cause it’s more compact for travel. We use the butterfly for quick in and out of the car errands and the Cruz v2 for longer outtings. And I love that we can bring the butterfly on board when we fly!

We do not necessarily travel a lot by plane but definitely travel a lot by car. I love the Minu V2 because I'm petite and don't want to struggle with a bulky and heavy full size stroller. Would you recommend it even though we won't be buying it for travel reasons? Is it still good and durable for day to day moving around?

I have a Vista V2 and I'm concerned about my tall 11mth old fitting in it as she gets older. We also seem to have shorter straps which isn't great. I chose the Bugaboo Butterfly because I need the height. I would say I use my Bugaboo Butterfly 90% of the time over my Vista V2.

Can’t you adjust the height of the back? I can extend the height on my Uppababy Cruz V2.

I have the bugaboo butterfly and SW air wouldn't let us put in overhead even told them its compatible they made us gate check each flight. We even made sure not to have the allotted amount of carryon bags just to keep it with us on the plane since I didn't bring a travel stroller bag with us that time. BB butterfly is kinda wobbly, almost tipped over with my 11 most in it while trying to take two steps backwards to close a hotel door.. the basket isn't great even with a slimmer baby backpack, we use the petunia PB axis backpack. You have a better chance with the basket putting in the front, which can be a bit of a hassle. Our full size stroller is the UB cruz, maybe I am just used to a full size stroller. I researched for awhile for a travel stroller and I thought the BB butterfly was the one for us but now I wish we would have gotten the UB minu v2. the basket seems better and we already have the expensive UB travel bag.

I am so torn between these 2 strollers! I’ve actually read that bigger kids fit better in the Minu V2 because although it looks like the Bugaboo Butterfly has a higher seat, it isn’t actually? So for my tall 4 year old maybe it wouldn’t be wise? I basically want an everyday errand stroller (school drop offs, quick trip to the shops etc) that I can leave in the car everyday but also bring when we go on holidays. What do you guys recommend for that purpose?!
