I agree with Asgore. Asgore is so underrated. He doesn't even want to kill you. But he has to, to free his kind. Besides that he has a great and friendly personality and fluffy pushover ofcourse.
Now this is a Deltarune character and not an Undertale character but Ralsei would be the best roommate ever, I mean there perfect and they can make cakes. Only problem is that they keep making vague ominous prophecys and brushing weird things off

Mettaton would be the kind of person to turn the garage into a walkway and that's what I love about him LOL He's so focused on his career and pleasing his audience that he wouldn't be much of a problem. And even if he DID stay home, I hear a lot of the MTT Resort employees talk about his supportiveness of them (besides burgerpants), always walking in and giving thumbs-ups to everyone letting them know they're doing great, showing the prominence of Mettaton's sociability and gratefulness (even if he might barge in sometimes). The end of the Mettaton EX fight was absolutely beautiful, wether you spared him by getting the ratings to 10,000 or by fighting. I loved that speech and the music in the background with the leitmotif of the princess roleplay music or the tile puzzle. But hey, that's just my opinion of the superstar. Napstablook would be my roommate personally. He makes music and you don't got to feed him and he'll just let you do what you want but would probably help you if you needed it.
I'd probably live with Papyrus, my dad is a chef which would make it easier to teach Papyrus how to cook better, plus he got all his cooking knowledge from Undyne so I'd have to help him unlearn all that bad advice, but he's an insomniac, but at least he's probably quiet so he doesn't wake you up, he'd also help with the chores around the house, help motivate you whenever you need it, and with how punctual he is he'd probably never be late on the rent, he'd just be great, he'd be a great best friend as well, he's just a great guy!
Personal list: 6) Sans. I love him, but I would hate living with him. Get out of my house now. 5) Undyne. She's cool and all, but she would burn down the house. Not a fan of that. 4) Alphys. Would be fun to watch shows with, but would also be very awkward to be around at times 3) Toriel. Super caring and sweet, would make great food, but I don't think I'd like having her acting like a second mother 2) Asgore. Very calm, could have nice conversations with, would make tea and would help whenever in need 1) Papyrus. Would want to be your friend, would keep the house clean, would respect your privacy (as seen in Sans' room: it's a mess, but Papyrus isn't doing anything about it, very likely because it's his brother's room), would help you even when you don't ask for him to, 10/10 I would cry
While I could probably manage to get along with most of these characters at least sans would probably be my pick cuz in a way we are kinda similar, sans likes jokes, I have a appreciation for jokes even if they are bad, sans is lazy af, I’m lazy af, and we don’t even know if sans could cook but the best I can do is some eggs, overall sans would probably be the guy I could get along with the most
Yeah, but for some reason I feel like he'd be late on his half of the rent often, plus it would also mean the place would be absolutely filthy which typically isn't the best for your mental health.
tbh i love undyne but she’d be too loud and would break everything lol. personally sans would be the best or asgore. cuz sans would be sleeping always so no distractions, and even if he’s not cleanin like me 💀 at least he’ll only do it to his room
Sans is a very wise person. I feel like he'd give me some amazing advices and hit me up with his classical puns. The pronlem here is the fact I'm also Lazy. If me and him were roomates then that Room gonna look like the trenches.
Toriel would definitely be the best out of the 6 main characters! I had a feeling Asgore would be up there too. I definitely do not want Undyne in my room if she's gonna cook even if I tell her not to. Sans would probably be kicked out if he were to be my roommate. If Papyrus was with him, I'd probably allow Sans to stay. It's all because of the bad skeleton puns. You know Papyrus hates them. The other one is too awkward so... No.
My list counting side characters Flowey and Muffet both share the bottom for being the two who would genuinely consider killing you as weve seen flowey do and muffet says she planned on eating Alphys on aborted genocide Undyne her destorying the place is too much risk Toriel shes just too motherly and i dont want to room with a mom as shed act like it Alphys heres the thing alphys just couldnt handle guests at all shed be too nervous and make the whole thing awkard so everything you do around the house you have to plan around her Sans Yes hes lazy but hes atleast functional and he would likely take you out to eat and i could most easlily see my self hanging out with him and inviting people over wont be a problem Asgore Hes a cool guy but has Toris issues to a lesser extent like he wouldn't act like your dad but hed definitely have some rules Nabstablook Hes a chill guy and doesnt have any major flaws and makes some sick tunes Papyrus cleans up after both of us and is a guy i could ask for near anything short on rent hed pay your keep need help moving your stuff hell he probably moved it before you told him Mettaton is either at the bottom or top of the list because if we consider his massive wealth we would be sharing a fucking mansion but if we dont hes only slightly better than undyne
The thing with Alpyhys is, she's a very dishonest person. The True Lab, Mettaton and Undyne arcs all show that she often navigates by lying to either look better or to avoid trouble, and that's really, REALLY not something you want in a roommate.

sorry for the late comment, but heres my ranking (itll include pretty much all main characters exept chara, gaster, and frisk..also ill do worst to best like the video did) 1 - undyne honestly i agree with kustopia's point in this video..she is pretty short-tempered and quite bad at cooking also she might wreck one of your tables with a spear 2 - flowey hed..also be a very bad roomate due to him getting "angry" easily and hes mostly emotionless and will probably attack u sometimes just for fun 3 - muffet muffet would just be..quite problematic, not as problematic as others but she values money over everything, has a giant muffin spider thing that in the battle at least is huge and webs will probably be scattered all over ur living place if you live with her 4 - sans even though sans is nice, hes lazy and would probably be away at grillbys or just in his room playing a trombone every time something bad happens to you plus um..yea ur definitley doing stuff like the laundry and the dishes with him as a roommate 5 - alphys shes..very awkward and sure the gadgets are cool but..shed also i think keep secrets from you (basicly kustopia's point lol) 6 - papyrus hes very naive but does focus on his priorities if you know what i mean i just think hed be very immature as a roommate, still a decent one though 7 - toriel shes very good at cooking, and would probably help you study..plus you could garden with her or bake with her but i just think shes too motherly, still a good roommate 8 - asgore i think hed be nice, and hes peaceful, caring, and good at making tea either him or toriel would probably be the best roommate (or papyrus?) edit: i forgot nabstablook and mtt but im too lazy to do them

I definetly agree on Undyne, Papyrus and Asgore but the other three would change for me. Toriel - AMAZING person adn definetly over the other three but... I simply find her preatty boring and overprotective at times. I wouldn't enjoy it that much. For the other two: Alphys and Sans I have mixed feelings. Because... Well-I am a litteral combo of both. Alphys social anxiety, love for noodles and soda and anime combined with my (bad) sarcasm and laziness I really don't know who would I get along with more. Both are smart and would get along with me(i think). I know about their downtraits, but yeah I could work it out(*cough I have *ekherm same bad*cough traits as them *more coughting)

Would i let them? Lets see! Undyne: probly not, im not the type of person to let a fish with the urge to stab humans to be my roommate, but if she was ok, i would. Sans: deffo, sans is chill, funny and jokes alot, he's my type of guy to hang out with. Papyrus: Payrus is cool and all but... I dont want a skeleton running around my neighbourhood traumitizing kids, so nah Alphys: alphys is cool, would let her stay from time to time,i dont really care if she watches anime or whatever, shes cool. Asgore: definitely, asgore might be a human killer but, he's really chill and kind, just need some soace for him and he's good. Toriel: yeah definitely, as long as asgore isnt there she's fine being my roommate, she's kind and overall, food.
My roomy pick is Paps. He is tidy, kind, and while a little bit of a dunce, I can help him with things like cooking, I would do his laundry (if he doesn’t keep his battle body) and I’m sure he would help train me to fight, he is pretty strong
Papyrus would be a great roommate he’d help with the chores but sans is super lazy but he pays all the bills for him and papyrus so that’s why there a good duo to live together sans pays everything while papyrus keeps everything tidy undyne would be a cool roommate but can’t really reason with her and she can get pretty messy but she gets along with a lot of different people(asgore, alphy, papyrus) Toriel from evidence in the game and the 5th anniversary winter alarm clock she is an alcoholic and can’t take care of herself but whenever someone is over she tries her best and gets a lot happier and she acts like a mother so she’d mother you a lot. In deltarune she seems to do a great job tho. She can cook and clean pretty well so she’d help a lot she can probably help with homework and knowledge too (sans and toriel actually became roommates in one of the neutral endings) Alphys I’m not too sure what to say she has anxiety and a lot of guilt but she’s a good person. She is in the middle of organized and messy depending where her work space is messy but ya. Alphys would be a nightmare because imagine waking up one night when you hear a noise in the basement and you head down and see your basement has been turned into a weird and creepy lab and all of the sudden melted abominations scare the living life out of you that would NOT be my ideal roommate.

You should've just used the deltarune versions of the characters for a better comparison since they're friendly with humans in that universe, and the small ammount of characters in the list leave alot to be desired since theres not alot to discuss Oh also, If you don't want greater dog as your roomate you're lying
Sans is a constant source of puns. He'd be the perfect roommate. There may be a lot of cleaning to do, and ill have to pay for his stuff, but still, im a jokester myself. Id love to share jokes and memes with sans.
Or papyrus. He doesn't like jokes is a biggg downside, and bad chef, but it's fine. He would help me clean so often and it'd be super nice to have them as a roommate.
Its funny how even now people assume Asgore killed those kids eagerly, even tho if you play through the game Asgore actually stalls on killing you because its not what he really wants, but feels forced into it because he said he would to everyone
So where does Mettaton fit into this anyway? You said youre not a big fan of him, but is he lowest? We do see his room (not to mention his business) so there is enough there I'd say, and I'd argue he's main cast. We also visit Napstablook's home.
