Thanks for sharing authentic information. In the end, research papers in high impacted journals count. No matter you have done your PhD from IIT or private universities. If your university have sufficient facilities and potential faculties, than no problem to worry....all the best.

Thanks niharika Pr pvt university ki fee bot jyada hoti he or state/central university me admission easy nhi he to plz kam fees me acchi pvt university bhi batao Aap wali university me 42K pr semester he ab 1 year 84k bot jyada hota he Saath me hostel fee + food+ travel+ or bhi krache hote he to vo to fellowship me bhi nhi ho paye gaa to plzzzz kuch hm jeso ke liye bhi karo....

Same journey... Ma'am I also applied... DU JNU CUCET... I did back breaking hard work.. But couldn't get admission. But in the end.... I decided to take admission in best private university of my state ....thank you so much ma'am.

Niharika ji mai net / JRF pass nhi ho rha. Mujh pe jada Paisa bhi nhi hai. Mera MSc maths 66.7 percent hai. PhD krne ka bahut mann hai. Please mujhe koi sasti correspondence University k bare me bta dejeye jaha se maths me PhD kr saku.

Do you think that in PHD interviews regular students are given more preference than those who are from distance mode?? Or does it matter from where you've done your masters? I'm stuck & going through a lot of confusion regarding this.. Can you clarify.. Also, Thank you for sharing your genuine thoughts with us.❤

The preference is quite subjective when it's comes to selecting candidates for PhD, although if you can justify why you chose distance mode , things will be fine I guess!

Hi Niharika, I've secured admission in IPU management dept. I'm happy with the supervisor assigned too. DU interview is yet to happen. I'm thinking to drop DU। Just one question- IPu is state university and du is central , while applying for teaching jobs in future, will it matter?

See madam iit brand matters. And not only IIT old IITs and otherwise phd has no use. On the same time you can enjoy a good sum of stipend and other facilities.

Don't do from IGNOU..you will face issue at the time of getting admission in Ph. D., assistant professor job and public sector jobs as fresher. IGNOU degrees are good only when you're already in a job and this can help you to get promotion.

Mam last yr I got opportunity from CU but at that time I think guide cv is not so gud and 8k fellowship is not enough by thinking these types of thing. I was not join that CU. Try to join IIT. But however this yr I m not still qualify net/gate and try again for next csir net xm within these period I m selected in a private institute which is good institute and faculty is also very good, joining date will be on April first week. But mam I donot know I m still not happy by thinking may be in next yr I will qualify gate and get an IIT. Mam plz suggest me.
