Love our 2500! This was the video that helped me decide... Daily recipe: 1/2 Cup Yoghurt 1/2 Cup Almond Milk 1 cup frozen or thawed fruit. Teaspoon of flax, bran, collagen powder or Vegan protein powder... 2 ice cubes. Super fast clean up! Love it!
GREAT presentation of facts. Thank you. I'm a single person, buying mainly for smoothies and don't care about noise. So will go with the least expensive Explorian E310 especially now knowing that blend quality is same for all models.
I never knew there was a name to what i had - paralysis by analysis 😫 i hate it because i end up getting frustrated and don’t choose anything until the bug bites again and the research starts all over. Happened to me when i was looking into buying my juicer. Thank you for this video, go big or go home right ?
One of the best ads that make me want to see your ads... forgot why I came here. But.... I'll say that I am happy I kept watching since the food processor isn't compatible to Legacy and because I was thinking of Explorian but do want quieter. Tips helped making decision. Now.. I just subscribed to keep laughing .. Thanking for the organic goofy moments. Best of luck!
I am so happy I found your video. I have been going back and fourth about getting a vitamix for months but you are putting my indecisiveness at ease... I still may need to message you with a couple questions because I want to make sure I’m purchasing what’s best for me, but man... it’s nice to have a trustworthy source!
I was the same then I bought one. Of course the quality is great but save your money. It's really difficult to get anything thick from under the blade, and the lid is awful, hard to get on and off with no pour spout. I have no idea why this guy says the blade being fixed makes it easy to clean....it's literally the opposite! Other blenders do the same job for half the price....easier to clean and less waste.
@@tanshievlogs well I've still got the Vitamix but my daughter uses the little nutribullet for preference! I haven't used others but for fruits and veggies I'm sure any good quality blender will be perfect. I'd go for one that's easy to clean. If I change mine I'll probably get the ninja but I'm not an expert.
This is a really helpful video. I am in the UK and I have just ordered the Ascent 2500 which is due to come on Monday (day after tomorrow). I decided on this one after several hours of comparing different models and reading various reviews and comparisons, and came to the conclusion it would meet all my needs without going over the top. I loved the top of the range one but in the end decided it wasn’t worth the price as the extra electronic wizardry was something I could live without. Then, having put in my order, I found this video, and was very pleased to have all my thoughts confirmed! I am buying this Vitamix to replace another high-speed blender which has died on me. I decided not to go with a similar replacement because they don’t offer half the accessories. I already own a Vitamix under-blade scraper and that is absolutely brilliant - highly recommended. One reason I chose this particular Vitamix was that one day I may get the food processor attachment, and I really like the idea of the dry grinding to do one’s own flour - most intriguing. I live a whole-food plant-based lifestyle and a high-speed blender is an essential piece of kit for me, in daily use, so it needs to be reliable. Thanks for all the good advice on your videos.
Have you been happy with your vitamix after 9 months? I'm thinking of going the same device for similar reasons, trying to decide if the next model up is worth it or if most people are happy with the slightly lower one.
@@jkff2472 Interesting question - thanks! Happy to share my experience with you. I had my 2500 for a very short time (got it from Amazon) and it developed an electrical fault and kept tripping the main switch so I sent it back and got a refund. The reason I didn’t go for the top of the range one at the time was that Amazon was charging silly money for it. In the meantime I discovered it was better to get it direct from Vitamix because Amazon can have them hanging around for months in their warehouses and ordering direct means you get the latest manufacture (there’s a date on it somewhere) which means the latest firmware etc. Maybe really subtle differences between machines with the same model number but worth considering. I went on their website and found the 3500 - yes, more than I had paid for the 2500 but nothing like as expensive as Amazon, so I bought it. I have never regretted it for a single moment. I am really glad the 2500 went wrong, or I’d never have thought of getting the 3500. The added advantage of being able to set the timer before you begin blending is a huge bonus, as is the self-clean feature. The touch screen is great, and gives a nice smooth surface for easy cleaning. I absolutely love my machine and use it several times a day. I also bought the cup/bowl accessory set (also in frequent use) and the best accessory of all, the under-blade scraper, which I think should come with it as standard! This machine is utterly awesome and I don’t know how I lived without it! I would definitely recommend spending the extra money and getting the 3500. You won’t regret it. BTW I have no financial interest in Vitamix - just a more than satisfied customer. Having used both, the 3500 is definitely worth it. It’s the most expensive of my counter-top machines but I have found it essential for the whole-food plant-based lifestyle. Totally awesome machine. I hope this helps.
@@ShoshiPlatypus Thank you so much for responding, that was super helpful and I really appreciate it. I am vegan and will be using it an awful lot as well, and want to make the best choice for such an expensive investment. Thank you again, cheers!
@@jkff2472 You’re more than welcome! I think you will be as thrilled with it as I am. I make almond milk, and also a rehydration/electrolyte drink daily as I have an ileostomy and have to make sure I don’t get dehydrated. I sweeten most things with dates or bananas and the Vitamix is super-useful for that. I also make loads of different soups. I’m not a great lover of smoothies but I do make smoothie bowls and use it to top my overnight oats/chia breakfast. I first got interested in nutrition as a result of my bowel cancer in 2015 after having ulcerative colitis all my adult life - I joined a stoma forum and it was on there that I first heard about the Vitamix. I couldn’t afford one at the time and bought a different high speed blender which wasn’t half as good but it served its purpose for a few years. In the early days I was worried about obstructions and not being able to eat certain things but I can eat anything now. Some people get problems with very fibrous foods and a high speed blender helps you get these without the risk. It was only later that I realised how much more useful and versatile this machine could be. Some helpful RU-vid channels you might enjoy: Blending with Henry (love this guy - he’s really fun!), LifeIsNoYoke (great Vitamix channel), Simnett Nutrition (great for recipes and lifestyle), Nutmeg Notebook, Pick Up Limes and Chef AJ - all have great recipes and health info. It was Chef AJ who really got me going on the WFPB lifestyle although I’d given up meat by that time. To begin with I thought she was super-extreme with her no-oil cooking but I’m now doing most of what she does and it doesn’t seem so extreme now! She has awesome guests on her channel and it was through her that I discovered Forks Over Knives - if you haven’t seen this film it’s absolutely brilliant. Available on their website (shame they took it off Netflix). I learnt about the various medical giants in this field - Drs Esselstyn and Campbell, and Dr Michael Greger to name a few. Other great films are What the Health, PurePlant Nation and The Game Changers - some on RU-vid, also Netflix. Cowspiracy and Seaspiracy are also must-watch for vegans! So much deception and misinformation going on in the world because of big bucks, big pharma and big ag. Embarking on this journey I never thought I’d learn all this stuff! It’s been quite an adventure. Put another comment on here if and when you get your Vitamix and let us know how you get on with it. Have fun! Shoshi
@@ShoshiPlatypus Thank you! Those are my favourite documentaries! I know some of those channels and have a few books by those people, but not all and there's always more to learn. I recently found Rainbow Plant Life, which is similar to Pick Up Limes. I cannot believe at times how much my views around this have changed. I've been vegan for 6 years now, and it started with me trying to find a way to combat constant heartburn and a general decline in health at the time. Due to a change in circumstances over the past year, I had stopped eating more whole food meals with a focus on nutrition, and started opting more for a lot of bread and rather processed vegan foods. Unsurprisingly things went downhill and now that I'm able, I want to get back on track. Thank you again for sharing some of your story here and so happy eating this way is working really well for you. My father almost died from cancer of the esophagus, had never been a smoker but suffered from chronic heartburn all his life and was told this contributed. I think I truly needed to hear that and take the plunge with a vitamix sooner rather than later.
I used your link to buy the A2500 last night. I was having a really hard time making a decision about which model I should get. Thank you for making the choice easier for me. I discovered your channel last night and I think I'm gonna be watching you regularly
I had the regret and the sting from buying a used vitamix on facebook market. It was a 5200 for 160, and looked pretty clean, and for the first two blends it was amazing and i felt like i joined the vitamix cult. 3rd blend the blades stopped spinning, because i didnt notice this, but it was a knockoff container, and the drive socket wore away at the base of the blade, making them lose their connection. So i had to invest in a real container, meaning that i essentially payed 300 for a used vitamix without a warranty. Its amazing. but i regret not just spending the extra money for the peace of mind. Especially since i live in cleveland anyway lol.
Oh my goodness! This video is so helpful! I've been toying with buying a Vitamix for years, but there are so many different models that I could never figure out which one to get. I'm set now and very excited to finally get one. Thanks so much!
I will be getting an A2500 in a year or so when I move out due to the three program settings and the versatility of container options for future use. We have had what is now a Legacy model for about 20 years (my entire childhood) and it is the single most used appliance in the kitchen even more than our crockpot. Still runs almost as well as when it was new and showing no signs of dying. The cost is a bit much if you impulse purchase but 100% worth it if you plan for it. I love that they have the food processor attachment now and want one so I can make slaw and other foods that hand cutting or using a mandolin is just too much work for.
I LOVED WATCHING EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF THIS VIDEO AND YOUR OTHERS😃!! Now I have to go back through them ALL and pick the one I want to buy😊👁!!!! I’m a Nutra bullet lover… now I’m ready to move up to the next level🙏🏾
I want to start off by saying I'm sorry! I'm sorry that I found your sight after I purchased my e310 from target. If I could go back in time, I'd make the purchase from your links. I love your videos, and if/when we upgrade, we will go through your links!! Keep up the great videos, and I look forward to making what you show.
Hi, I am thinking of pulling the plug and buying the 310. I live in an apartment though, (even though you may not, how do you gage the noise level)? I typically would not be blending anything until about 11am.
Thank you! I was drowning in all the comparisons and decisions on which Vitamix to get. This really helped lay out what things to consider and which models have (or don't have) the things most important to me. Sounds like the A3300 will probably be my jam! Quiet, dishwasher-safe, easy-clean face, simpler interface...checks all my boxes!
Do you think that the fact that there is the plastic tip on the bell, that there may be a risk of plastic leeching into foods that have hot liquids (ie soup) or use oils (ie salad dressings)?
Great, awesome presentation , LOVED IT. I want to work for Vitamix now. I've had my Vitamix for many years, I think it's a Legacy. Works great, but I've always have had so so so many c questions about, series, accessories, differences etc. Watched many videos for info and recpes, but you by far have provided the most helpfu.l and useful info. Entertaining too. So I kept watching y our videos. Thank you
Feeling a bit like a dinosaur here. I own the 5000 Vitamix purchased in 1999 for $399 @ a state fair. Advice…Don’t bury it deep into a cupboard, or you’ll never pull it out to use it. I enjoyed the video. I’m still happy with the simple features on this model, wouldn’t mind a smaller container tho. I’m considering buying the personal cup adapter and hope it fits! My only complaint with the Vitamix is it is such a phenomenal blender that it will last decades! And as long as it’s still working, I’m not buying a newer model! lol
Coming from a guy that has no ties or interest in any blenders. I can tell you I live in a household that has a Vitamix, Ninja, and Hamilton Beach blenders. I have used all of them many times. The Vitamix and Ninja are both 1400 W, I believe and the HB is much lower. For regular smoothies, crushing ice and amateur cooking stuff, save your money and skip a vitamix. Don't get me wrong, they are nice, but for the above, not worth the money. I always grab the ninja, because the blade comes out and it is easier to clean. In the video, the guy says the blade gets dull? Not here, yet. If it does, buy another, maybe three more and you're still cheaper than the Vitamix. The HB blender even does the same job. It just takes longer. Instead of jamming the stick in the Vitamix, use a wooden spoon h the HB. Again, not bashing the Vitamix, it IS awesome, but if you are pondering how much it costs, the Ninja does just as good of a job.
I got a new 5200 on sale direct from Vitamix for $300.00. I’ve had it replaced once and the motor is making alarming sounds again. It’s still under warranty and Vitamix customer service has been excellent. I’m stumped because the hardest thing I’ve ever blended was ice in smoothies or frozen berries. The longest I’ve ever blended is a minute and a half making oat flour out of rolled oats. I see Vitamix everywhere in grocery store cafés, restaurants, and juice bars getting used all day long making just about everything and they look just fine. I peeked over at one at a juice bar and it is a Vita Prep 3 which has a 3hp motor. Which is more than the 5200 I have. What’s the most hardcore thing you’ve ever put in your A3500? Have you had any trouble with it?
What are your thoughts on the 7500? They sell it at Costco in that bundle package. This would be my first Vitamix. Debating between 7500 or 5200. Main use will be smoothies, juices and shakes.
I use & love the "classic" series Pro 500 stainless w/ PCA kit, space saving set & cup & bowl set. It's loud. What is the quietest of this legacy base old or new? Or what silencer cover is suitable? Where does the Local Canadian model "Super" Total Nutrition Center come in? As far as power & noise?
I watched this video about 10 times this weekend to help me decide which blender i should get! I ended up with the A2500. I can’t wait to have a good blender after years of having the worst one ever.
I just found your videos. The name reminds me of "Vitameatavegemin" I just ordered one on amazon. I didn't think about direct. I hope mine is fresh enough... hehe.
I got the Vitamix from Amazon today. Had to send it back. Vitamix didn't have the serial number in the database. There might be a harmless explanation, but I can't keep a product I can't register. It was likely a fake Vitamix. I used you're link to buy the new one DIRECT. Thanks for having that available. A3500 by the way.
Trying to decide between the a3500 and pro 750. Seems people like the pro 750 more and they have even a better rating on Amazon Canada. The venturist has a low rating on Costco Canada 🤷🏼♀️ I don't prefer all the tech, I am a basic person, we had the 5200 originally and loved it. Just started having issues 17 years later. I hate to say buy to it. It seems the Pro 750 is the upgrade to it and people love it. So seems like it may be the one I go with. Thanks for all the info.
So are the wider containers really better? I want to make nut butters and soups. I was by looking at legacy. I was under the impression the the tall narrow ones were really good. Should I go for an explorian e320 with 64oz instead?
I have learned a lot from you. Thanks so very much, first of all, because I'd was completely lost when it came to the differences. Well, besides the pricing. I am a 56 yo woman that of course lives on a fixed income and I'm getting ready to have bariatic surgery on January 12th. I have been learning how to cook and eat healthy. I currantly have a regular Black and Decker blender, but I try to make smoothies and other things with that machine with not any luck. I am so hoping we get a stimulas because I'm looking at a reconditioned Vitamix on Amazon. If I am able to get it before it gets gone, I need to please know which of the probes? or I'm not sure what they are called that fits the Explorian 64oz? Thanks so very much. Rhonda PS: I didn't realize you sold the Vitamix machines. I will be checking what you have available before I go thru Amazon.
I was thinking about getting the 3500 but so may reviews mention that etching that happens after a few weeks - is this a normal thing because of the power of this blender?
I just used your link to purchase my Vitamix Ascent 3500, along with an underblade scraper. I'm excited - but, felt the sting indeed! How do I receive the recipe ebook from you?
Awesome video mate. I recently bought a Vitamix and god it is great. No regrets at all. Tip, my friend has the Ninja and it’s garbage compared to the Vitamix, which he agreed!
I wonder if A3500i is as good as the A3500? And wonder what is the difference between them? Also do you guys have such a link for buying it or just for the A3500?
Since I discovered your channel I have been obsessed with vitamix last year I finally saved up enough to order one I am so proud of myself😀 unfortunately only UK vitamix works in my country and I bought 48oz container from the US it does not work with my blender please if anyone would buy it from me at a discounted price send me a message. I would love to sell it and get a UK version of the blender cup
Yes it's rather frustrating to see that things are not fully interchangeable between the US and UK versions. Why is that? Anyway I'm going to have to watch this a few more times but I'm leaning towards the a3500 mainly because my hearing is very sensitive to loud noise and I don't want to have ear plugs in to use it like I have to do with my ninja :-)
I am having a major issue with my Vitamix. I just tried to make a pumpkin pie with dates in there and it freezes up. There is no way it would make a nut butter.
I wish I had seen this video before I got mine. I was under the impression that the low profile you couldn't make smaller batches. I have the 5200 which I have no complaints with, but seeing this I would have gone with the ascents because I can see that you don't have to just make a large batch of things. Having said that, how long would it take to blend for almond butter? The videos I'm seeing usually have the ascent and it takes a minute and my 5200 needs more time. Appreciate any tips, thank you!
My favorite machine is the 5200, hands down. However, I do have the recon Venturist 1200 and I'm loving it. It's the perfect balance of Ascent features with a classic price. I will say that the noise of the Venturist, C series, and Explorian isn't as ear-piercing as come people claim. Don't forget about the recon S50, it's the best for travelers and I still use mine on a regular basis.
I been watching your videos cause I wanted a Vitamix for my mom and was saving for it but today I noticed that the one she has now not bleeding anymore really 😞 probably gonna get a ninja
I have a question. I put the stainless spoon into container during the blade still spinning by accident, because I want to put the air out. The speed is 1. I am wondering does that cause my blades tear some piece? Thank you
Hey! I'd be really interested in your feedback. I have an OLD OLD OLD vitamix like legacy x10! I want to get a new one - preferably one that fits UNDER my countertop (I have the tall one). My biggest gripe is NOISE. I know no vitamix will be quiet - however i've watched your reviews and am between the 3300 and the 3500. I want the color BLACK but the black 3300 is not ALL METAL. I was wondering - do you know how much louder the plastic 3300 is vs the all metal 3300? Thank you so much!
Sooo..about the Black Friday deals. At this point I am not sure if I have a vitamix on the way or not. Anyone who shopped the sale knows that the site crashed several times. I would get to the enter your payment checkout page, (before the confirm/submit your order) and then the site would crash... Well turns out it charged my card for the order 4 times.. I purchased 2 vitamix's so thats ~$2800 !!! so yeah there goes my chance to buy anything else for black friday -__- The worst part is that my vitamix account does not give me any details, my order history shows nothing and I received no order confirmation to my email... so yeah if anyone has experienced this before let me know the outcome!
Hi. So the same happened to me. Site kept crashing every time I try to submit my order (and I tried for over an hour) anyway, my order ended up going through twice. It took over an hour for my purchase to show in the order history but I did get an email from them shortly after my order went through, but I had to refresh my inbox several time. Hope this helps.
@@nathanhuynhhanbinh 😭I feel your pain. I finally got through to vitamix this morning after an hour of hold time. This has been a train wreck lol, unfortunately right now their customer support is misplacing the blaming on the amount of people visiting the site (🥸 like they didn’t know they were going to have a major sale lol 🙃) when they should be holding IT and the developers accountable (I’m a developer btw). Anyhow it still maybe worth it for you to call, when I did they took down what I ordered and my address, and said they will have IT look into it and have a supervisor call back. I imagine 1 of 2 things will happen, they will either re-have the sale when they see that their sales numbers are inflated and that they didn’t actually sale that many machines, or they will fulfill the orders of the people who showed proof of purchase. There is a Reddit forum of many people that this also happened to so we are not alone. Some had multiple multiple charges like us. A lot of them are highly upset, understandably because their money is now tied up and they can’t shop other Black Friday deals... but I mention because you may want to follow in case someone has a solution that they try and it works.
@@sunsun4961 thank you for sharing this to me, I'm currently on a phone hold to vitamix right now. This is the last thing I want to do in holiday morning, calling customer service T_T.
Will I get the same customer service and the manufacture warranty if I buy it from the Amazon link you provided in the description below? I’m really concerned about this matter because unfortunately they don’t ship to my country.
hey @lifeisnoyoke - I love your videos! I recently got a vitamix and am hooked to your videos! Excellent stuff! I had a quick question though. The driver socket on my vitamix is moving around. Is that expected?
@@LINY thank you! I have a friend who also got a vitamix recently. I will check with her to make sure it's similar. It'll be great to see what you mean by a little if you ever get a chance in an faq video or something.
Stumbled across this video before using the one that was just delivered...a3300. I think I made the right choice given the info in your video...BUT...what are the timers for the pre-programed modes so I can make a little cheat sheet?

Between the Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender, Vitamix A3300 Ascent Series Smart Blender, Professional-Grade and Vitamix 5200 Blender Professional-Grade which one would you recommend best? Thanks and happy holidays :)
if you're wanting a personalized recommendation, it depends on what you're using it for, what you're replacing, what your goals are. email us? hello@lifeisnoyoke.com
What would you recommend to someone switching from a KitchenAid? It's 8+ yrs old, the blade is nicked, AND the particular model I have is discontinued. We do smoothies, marinades, and have done dressings in the past. Would love to do more, but that nicked blade has increased the time on lots of things.....
Hello, I live in France and it's difficult to find a recon Vitamix. I want to buy a Vitamix machine but I have to buy a new one, full price (very expensive in France). I think the price is so elevated because France wants to sell their own products, idem for the recon machines. I thought to buy a Vitamix directly from the US but plugs are not the same. I am so saaaaaad !!! 😭 Thank you for yours videos, that makes me saliva... 🤤
I feel you the ascent series costs 899€ in Germany and it’s literally never on Sale ☹️its not just the plugs its also different Volts which means if you plug it in in europe the fuse will blow which means your entire electricity shuts down in your apartment/house
I ordered a a3300 after weeks of debating. But now that I'm trying to find a 32oz container for small batches not one channel seems to mention they don't make one. Even though they made a container video. Not sure what to do at this point
I bought the Venturist 1200 and the E320 and I don't know which one to choose :S . The price difference is 100$ between both.. Can anybody recommend me which one choose ?
Hi, I would like to buy the a3500. I can only purchase from the Uk. The only one I can find is A3500i. Is it the same as your a3500? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
So just to confirm that as a UK buyer we can use your links and recieve UK (European) compatible units & accessories. I believe that the European & US versions are not fully interchangeable?
Hi all, could you kindly tell me if the 48 once container is still available for the Ascent Series? Looking at the Vitamix web site it seems that it's just for the other Series. Thanks
I recently bought the A3500 & just used it for the first time last night to make some soup. I love it, but it's extremely loud on high speed. I heard you say it's quieter than others, is there something wrong with mine then?? It scared my blind cat 2 rooms away when I turned it on! lol. I'm just wondering now if it's normally this loud. Anyone?? Thanks!
Thanks so much for answer my question. I was browsing through your videos/website and I think I’ll wait till mother’s day to see if I can get a pretty good deal on an A3500!!! Thanks a million again!
Thank you for the great video. Just a question, is the Bluetooth at the "Ascending models" always on when the Blender is switched on? Or is it possible to switch it off? I would like to keep radiation in my house as low as possible & 2.4Ghz + healthy food doesn't go too well together in my world ;) .. Even so it´s just a fraction of the intensity used by a microwave oven. Thank you very much🙏
