I think the fact that the quest 2 is wireless easily makes it better for gorilla tag. Not to mention the fact that the game practically looks the exact same
The thing that’s better than the index tho is that it’s much lighter and gorilla tag makes you sweat so much so I recon it would feel better on your head but other than that the quest solos
you probably already know now but press the oculus button on your controller then your press the gorilla tag app and you should see a button that says Quit Game
I would play on a valve in my opinion because next year(2024) I’m gonna get a valve instead of a quest because I already have a quest. And this year I’m On my way to get a pc and it will have a 4070 Ti graphics card and some other stuff so yea
Hello, does anyone know how to REALLY download gorilla tag and play with a VR that only has a controller, but doesn't transmit, I'm looking for a way, but I can't find it, I've searched everywhere possible.
You can't say the quest is better because you timed yourself running to a location on both headsets. The index is superior because it has many advantages, including The FOV and seeing a more comprehensive range of the map, 360-degree tracking, and various quality of life stuff. Now since I'm a VR enthusiast I'm obligated to rant about this kind of topic (and because I play Gorilla Tag every day) but I'm tired and I want to consume a burrito. Long story short the Valve Index is the better choice. (Oh and the Index just pooped on the quest) :)
i know this video is old, but fun fact. refresh rate makes a massive difference on gtag. so that 60hz makes wall running and all that massively easier.
Yea when you have the wire it does make a certain skill limit I think because eventually your gonna get to the point where your just hitting it over and over again
@@pevpi9062 I don't have an issue with hitting it, it's just when I'm tagging and trying to get someone on branches they can turn much more than I can. Considering I've been used to using artificial turning since I started vr gaming I can't perform the same as wireless. Thank god they have index wireless now which I want to try
@@JMDeathPunchDD Yea its appeals to me because I am on pc, but the quest can connect to your pc through a wireless or wired connection. It just makes no sense to me that it should be that expensive.
From what I can tell this testing is mostly just biased towards the the quest since you've spent the most time on it. For example, me specifically, I get the best times on the index. I get the best tages on the index and get the coolest plays on index. I've played index Gtag for 8 more months than I have Q2. It all just comes down to which one you're more fundamentally comfortable to.
@@Erik1515huh I'm not sure then. It could also be a result of playing at only 60 fps on quest. Even though the physics is using delta time, the physics multiplier in game could be more forgiving at lower framerates to compensate. Apologies if that doesn't make much sense haha it's some programming jargon
@@Erik1515 What? even if you main the Valve you still played more quest then valve judging by most of your videos were recorded with using the Quest 2 well theoretically maybe. i could be wrong.
