Actually, that's not a Quartz movement because it doesn't use quartz crystals. The Bulova has a Japanese movement by Rhythm Watch that's termed ATO-MAT. It uses a balance wheel that's powered by a 1.5 volt D-sized battery. A coil allows electricity to flow through it, creating a magnetic field. That magnetic field interacts with the balance wheel in such a way that it causes it to rotate back and forth very quickly due to the magnetic field. So this is actually a lot more electromechanical than your average battery operated clock! I have a video on it showing the movement in-depth if you scroll a little bit on my video page.

My grandparents had an Elgin (I thought it was soft G pronunciation) like the one here, but both the chime and hour strike sounded like the first Hamilton mantel clock.

The Trend clock is my favorite, hands down. It's a real shame the lowest note is as sharp as it is, otherwise that clock's chime would be flawless. The Haid would probably be my second choice, since it was the clearest sounding of all the rest. You probably have noticed that the higher-pitched the chime rod is, the more hammer chatter you're likely to get, and the trickier it is to correct said hammer chatter... One of the many reasons I don't like clocks with short chime rods, aka most modern chiming mantle and wall clocks. This is just my personal opinion though, I still think you have a fun and diverse collection!
Thank you very much, Albano! You're right about the hammer chatter, it is quite annoying to deal with. I notice it myself on, for example, my Howard Miller regulator. I think that's the clock that has it the worse, as well as the Hamilton. I've been told to try and fix it, but the more I try to mess with it, it either gets worse or gets to the point where the chime hammers don't even hit the chime rods loud enough or properly. Not to mention every time I take the Howard Miller off the wall, it knocks the clock out of beat, so I have to spend 20 minutes trying to fix the beat after I only wanted to fix the chime hammers, it's just really not worth my time, unfortunately.
