@@scottwickett1273 it’s less about Sasser’s trade value as it is about needing to find a real backup PG and him being a better fit on some other rosters. So it’s more a fit thing here.
@@scottwickett1273 Classic hyperbole. There were over 40 guards his size or smaller playing real minutes last year. He's shot 37%+ from 3 his past 5 years. Dude can shoot and get hot as a scorer. He's also a pretty solid defender on most PGs.
@@elblouses128 It's not hyperbole, he can't guard you and can't create for teammates and should not be in a rotation for any of the 30 teams. (Seriously, you couldn't be more wrong about "pretty solid defender", you must just not have eyes.) He sucks, just like the moron GM who wasted three picks to get him.
Duren is the player the Pistons should have traded this summer. Ivey is the player they will probably trade. Ivey will compete for MIP with a big jump in ppg connected to a big increase in minutes played and a modest improvement in efficiency. Duren will get a big extension next summer, and when the Pistons are finally in the mix for the playoffs the Pistons will regret being saddled with a big contract attached to an under the rim center who is average at defense.
@@videki47 I know people think Duren is a three point shooter and shot blocker. But he's not either of those things yet and both aren't high probability outcomes. As Dumars knew a layup and a highlight real dunk are both worth two points.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Literally nobody thinks that lol. He is a rim running offensive center, elite rebounder, and defensive liability. That is pretty much the consensus right now, hopefully he can change that this year.
@@videki47 not only have I heard fans talk about Duren with such high expectations but even local media leans in that direction at times. Fans and even some local media say I'm crazy when I compare Duren to Drummond. I'm guessing most don't have such belief in his past production, but I don't have a reliable poll for either group.
He is the only good player on the team: if they end up having to trade him it will only be because of how shitty everyone else is....starting with the prior GM.
Cade is a little slow defensively, but I can live with defensive limitations in the number 1 or 2 option on offense. Shin issues usually aren't recurring. If you ignreo that one time issue, his failure to crack 65 games is a problem, but he is around 60 so its nost like he is constantly injured. Also he was being load managed last year because he was recovering from surgery. The odds are good that Cade will 69 this season.
Personally think it’s better they get a chance to grow next to each other and build chemistry each year, creates a stronger bond within the team, in Pistons history that strong team bond is a key factor to success in this league. Going through tough times like that and staying strong throughout isn’t something you can simulate or just be told how hard it can be, really gotta go through it personally
And why keep drafting young guys if you’re not even going to let them grow up? We all really should stay patient with them, as long as they stay heading in the right direction I’m all in on our core
