Well done. Appreciate how you address the overall community needs instead of just highlighting the housing units. "Civic amenities" is the new phrase for me. Most of these videos don't give much details on the space outside the house and definitely not the surrounding community.

I live in Old Harbour and I totally agree about the civic amenities. The town itself needs expanding. I personally believe each new development should have a mini-mall

New Build Homes I think you are right on the civic amenities, but Portmore did mot turn out bad after all, the addition of Old Harbour will challenge what they have now. Does the developers or those who approve these major plans come to the people to ask for their opinion before approving? I think the main thing should be how do we make the community self sufficient without them having to go elsewhere and I will add another one to the hospital, fire station you mentioned - JOBS. At least this development has provided land for schools.

Hey Miss Segree, I’ve missed you! Whilst I applaud peoples efforts to provide housing, why are the designs always so boring and uninspiring. They just literally copy all the other schemes, I just yawn 🥱 but at least maybe people can expand. Surrounding infrastructure is also a problem, ever increasing demand on JPS, NWC, road congestion etc. they just sign of these schemes to tick a box but we need more companies to come to Jamaica as the growth is soo great Big Up yourself 🙌🏽

Hi Dadrianne, I like the way you have identified the most important problem the residents of these new developments may encounter now are later, such as the distance to get to the nearest hospital. Not sure if May Pen hospital and Spanish town hospital have the facilities and equipment to deliver and to keep up with the increasing population. Also, another subscriber mentioned A mini Mall. This is something the GOVERNMENT NEED TO CONSIDER. Also, schools, A community centre etc. Not sure if this is something Government is considering for further development.
