P.S. I have tried using the normalise filter as one of you suggested. It worked but it distorted some other parts of the audio. So I removed it. I will still learn how to utilise it better for the next video. Thx!
I believe that Prince is a part of the Windsor golf because of his fashion choices throughout the 80s throughout the 90s. He was very winter and the movie twitches one and two were very much.
I was so happy when I found out what whimsigoth was, I always loved witch related stuff, Sabrina and Phoebe Buffay are two of my favorite characters ever.
I like your videos a lot! I'm not a big fan of whimsigothic style, but there is no such a thing as too much knowledge. I like listening to you and discovering new things by doing so!
Quite nice of an overview but still compact! 👌🏻 Although, if I listened correctly, you did not make the connection to the medieval art style, that later was named gothic, to which the original name giver wanted to point, too (if I'm correctly informed). Just wanted to mention that, as those medieval (or rather late gothic) elements (eg bell sleeves, pattern- & colourfulnes) are what draws me to this style, as this seems to be a chance bringing those back into male clothing (or overall being a chance implementing medieval clothing features into recent aesthetic, without looking too off).
The music you used in the video reminds me of the soundtrack from the movie The Boy and the Heron! Super appropriate when you look at all the characters and locations it features in its runtime, if you haven't watched it I really recommend, it's a bit eccentric but so beautiful! Also, the colors in this video are beautiful! How much longer did it take to make in comparison to your usual video?
@willow6931 I've heard of the movie but haven't seen it yet. Might try if I got a chance tho. For your question, it takes a bit more time, yes. But this aesthetic already has quite an established color palette so it's not that challenging. And it doesn't cost me that much time since I've already had some drawings that I can reuse from previous videos.
I used to be a witch for years and years. I am Christian now and still dress in my dark cottage core style. I am having a lot of trouble with music. I LOVE Laurena Mckennit and am sticking with her, I used to love Dead Can Dance. I still love Lisa Gerrard, but I have to be careful what songs or collaborations she is doing as I don't want any lucifarian music and a few of her pieces are. Does anyone know of anything like Dead can Dance or Lisa Gerrard that is not satanic? I don't need Christian music, just not pagan or satanic. I love the sound of some viking music, but don't want to be listening to people worshiping norse gods.
I’m not too sure of her leanings, but I recommend Enya. She is within the same constraints of Loreena Mckennit, and she used to be part of the band Clannad, who you may recognize in the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. She has some darker and some lighter albums, but there’s a style about her that is vaguely all embracing rather than anything belonging to any religion. She does sometimes list the names of old myths in her songs, but I can only think of very few. I’m not Christian, but I hope I helped.
