I would pay a lot money to watch a drummer play this live. I know that most people have no clue how difficult it is to play what they just heard. I don’t play drums but I know drummers and what this player did in this song is just beyond talented. This level of drumming is up with the best in the world. I honestly don’t know how someone plays this without having more than two arms and two feet. The drumming in this blows my mind every time I hear it. It’s not just in the solo either. Simply amazing little pieces can be heard throughout.
My friend K.T. in state jazz band when I was younger, boy howdy did she rip at this, never heard someone put so much heart into their playing. It was amazing. Poor thing had to play all the drum parts that day thought. The second drummer was out sick in the hospital. Gotta say though, great finale to the jazz concert. Even though I was just on bass, my arms were like spaghetti. I can't image hers
Whiplash is a movie that I’ve heard about for years since my uncles loves movies.I decided to watch it today with him and my grandma and I absolutely loved it.I want to get into drumming and just instruments in general now even more then I wanted too before.This movie is amazing and I implore anyone to go watch it if you haven’t already

It's a double bass though, it sounds like cowboy bebop. I play P bass but I appreciate it lol. They have to try so much harder just to be heard at all.

Anyway, it seems to be that those were not any of the most representative pieces of soundtrack she composed, am I wrong?. Well, nevertheless, plagiarism is plagiarism. If it is that way, why there aren't any sues? Or they do exist? If you have any of those answers, I would be glad to know about it.
***** Uhmm... it would certainly be foolish from her to say that she never listens to other music; it's not like she created any new genre. Anyway, if she truly composed pieces like Tank!, Rush, Gravity, Green bird, Adieu, etc, she shouldn't be disregarded, at all. That doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to be penalized due to plagiarism about other compositions, if she really did it without any permission.

omg being a huge fan of duke growing up and already loving this song. when they played this at the end of they money I got so hyped it's a wonderful cover of caravan. whiplash is great movie but the ending for me got me so hyped.
I think it's a great movie for future teachers/teachers to watch. It helps to give insight on oneself. What to we really want to reach, to reach the farthest? To reach enough? And in what ways we should go towards our objective...
This movie made me feel good about myself and every time i threw heavy objects at people :3 Now i can just add an excuse when i throw stuff at people, that it's for their own good. Will happily continue throwing chairs, bricks, pallets and other stuff at people :D
This movie was so good and (this probably isn’t a good thing) but I relate to Andrew’s obsessive nature regarding his passions. So the significance of this song plus the song itself (the tempo makes me want to do whatever I’m doing at 10x speed) makes this perfect hype music for me👌
If you like this song, you should check out the money jungle recording of it as it has Charles Mingus (one of the best jazz bassists) and Duke Ellington (the composer of this song)
