I can't even tell you how amazing your work is! I've found a few soap makers on RU-vid that I love getting inspiration from, but every recipe I find I come back to double check the recipe against one of your formulas to make sure it will turn out because without fail, your recipes have been amazing. Seriously, you're the coolest and I am so glad I stumbled upon your Chanel.
I’m sorry I know this is an older video, but I’m working my way through all your playlists. Can you tell me the amount of clay and shea? Again thank you I love everything I’ve made with your recipes and all the information you share.
Love the video and information. Bothe the soap paste and whipped soap base are so versatile! This whipped shaver recipe is gold. As always thank you for sharing your wisdom. Much love!
I’m doing something right I did the same thing but I did add a little bit of tapioca’s starch to it let me tell you I really love how I can play around with soap paste I really have not made one yet I didn’t like 👍 my cream whipped soap is more a smooth shave soap to I love it
I love your videos - you have taught me so much and I appreciate your detailed instructions. I recently made the soap paste and tried out the Whipped Sugar Scrub and Whipped Shaver recipes. The Whipped Sugar Scrub turned out OK, but not as whipped as yours. Also, when I made the Whipped Soap Shaver recipe, same thing, After melting everything, I let it cool to room temperature. Then I whipped it with a stand mixer for about 10 minutes, lastly added the shea butter. It firmed up fast and was like the consistency of thick mashed potatoes. What did I do wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks so much.
UPDATE: This was user error on my part. I watched the video again and realized that I added the glycerine to the pot and melted it along with the soap paste, water and stearic acid. I remade this and it is perfectly whipped - thank you Mrs. Soap and Clay for the recipe.
I need to try making soap paste... just so I can do this. 😁 I never use shaving cream, foam, gel, nothin... I just use my soap. Some of you are probably cringing, but I've been shaving for so dang long. Long story short, I'm hairy and I took dance classes from like age 3 - 14 years old. When I was 6 and had to wear fishnets for a recital and my jet black leg hair stuck straight out from it... that's when and why I started shaving. I stopped using shaving-specific product when I simply couldn't afford to buy any and just never went back.
Kidlet #1 has super dark leg hairs as well. Haven’t mentioned it because I don’t want her to think it’s bad - because it obviously isn’t - but if she decides she wants to start shaving earlier I will totally help her learn the process.
@@MrsSoapAndClay yeah. It wasn’t like my dance teacher was mean. She casually mentioned it to my mom and my mom just asked me if I wanted to shave my legs for the recital. I decided to continue it after that.
I was just wondering about the addition of the shea butter. Is it better to incorporate it in the end or can you melt it down and add it to the melted soap paste, water, stearic acid and glycerin then cool this all down before whipping????
I made this paste a while back and love it, I'm ready to make it again and use it in a shave cream recipe! Question...when calculating the recipe in Soapee calculator, what's your NaOH : KOH ratio?
