We normally have besinji’s but got a besinji whippet mix from a back woods kill shelter in NE Mississippi and was stunned when she leaped down the stairs for me to catch her after like day 3. Now she regularly clears the couch with people sitting on it and scares the shit out of them and routinely wants to hump everything in sight even after being fixed. Her name is Cleopatra but we refer to her as the Whorenado.

I've got 2 black and white whippets like yours. That's where the similarities end. One of them can just about jump in the van and the other insists on me lifting her in. Greats dogs. 👍
Mine used to jump the fence like this all the time, then panic and get confused cause she didn't actually want to run away or go away from us. She just let her curiosities get the better of her.
I have a pair of whippets and they jump exactly like that . . . Onto the kitchen counter!!! I neatly died the first time I walked into my kitchen to see my whippet standing on the kitchen counter, licking the plates from dinner.
Awesome! This made me laugh and feel happy, for some reason; I’m saving it for something to instantly lift my spirits if I’m having a rough day/moment.
This is also a very good example of why not to leave your whippet unattended in the yard. A content whippet will stay in the yard, but if they get bored, they will leave.
