Maybe you should try his builder.. How can he possibly run that kind of Horsepower through that stock DCT and it doesn't slip or anything? I wonder what he did differently. I haven't seen any other ones launch like that. And the trap speed is ridiculous.

@@chrism.728 the whipple yes the driver kinda, it’s an auto, he ain’t gotta do much but let her eat! Of course the burnout etc but as for the car launching he doesn’t need to do much, yes he’s a driver but what I’m saying is the car is right, he could go jump in a stock one, it’s still gone bog

@@jsavage9134 Sure the DCT has less driver input compared to a manual, but the driver is using the paddles to shift gears based off the interior camera. The driver also knows this GT500 very well, so he knows exactly how to launch it to get optimal times (reaction time). The driver being lightweight also helps too. Any driver just can't hop in this car and run the same numbers.

@@chrism.728 and you’re right, I couldn’t go jump in the car and run them same #’s without practice! And I mean technically it’s manuel, it’s an auto but it’s a mix lol it’s built like a manuel with the internals, but not getting into trans specs bc I. Sure you already know that and not the point, I did catch he said you need to shift yourself to ride it to 8,200 rpms or somewhere right around there! But the stock set up, the car still bogs no matter the driver

lol hellion twin turbo with t400 aint shit for a record. stock dct and a whipple on a gt500 is the way the gt500 is meant to be. you dont get rid of everything that makes the car to break records.

That was Ford's original plan for the GT500, since the CobraJet Mustangs are running a custom spec Whipple 3.0L. Not sure why they decided to go with the 2.65L Eaton TVS. Maybe the cost factor...

@@venom_dave It's a good blower, but the power drops off in the higher RPM range. Also, generates more heat than the larger displacement Whipple due to having to spin the blower faster when trying to make big power.

Fastest plaid on st tires went 8.9x so far. Only had seats removed and lighter wheels. Not bad for a 4dr 4800# near silent family hauler that can get over 100mpge. Let's see that stang on pump gas&st tires try a plaid on for size.😎 Oh wait nm a tesla model y perf for 60k will smoke a st tires gt500. That video was hilarious to. 😀

demons "drag car" with only their chassis left. Aftermarket motor turbo400 carbon fiber everything. 100k car with 100k of upgrades and they cant get these times. Gt500 is a track car. It can turn and run within a second of the Ferrari f8 tributo huracan evo and porsche gt3RS while stock. & bammm 2 yrs later tou have this track car doing this!!

Bone stock road course its actually only a few tenths off a GT3RS & faster than a Huracan Perfamante....... with a few simple suspension mods and very simple bolt ons it's faster than Porsches ultimate 918 or GT2RS with the right driver obviously.... these lap times are out there if you're into road course stuff.

This shows that taking the Hulk back to stock is the way to go. That car launches like no other GT500 I've seen on the track. It looks like he'll need to add a roll cage and a single parachute since he's exceeding 150 mph. Thanks for the great video. Now you have a record to shoot for with the Hulk.

I agree mine is tight as hell, not that big a gap.... I'm on the 3.875 pulley 93 & E85 tunes... I'm waiting it out to see how some of these other cars fare running higher boost with the whipple before turning it up more... for now it's plenty

Just buy a 5.2 aluminator crate engine. Town turbo. Dump it into the hulk. You'll be ok. You'll be breaking records.

Biggest = 3.5 Smallest = 2.8 Pullied up = running larger pulley, less boost Pullied down = running smaller pulley, more boost

Since it's a stock DCT what's driving the 'lowest in the world" 60' time? Suspension/Traction/Weight/HP right? If no tuning is involved with the trans then the 60' is a byproduct of all the other mods. In theory he could throw a 100 shot on it at the leave and improve on it more no?

Am I missing something here or is the driver just stupid ? Where's the cage and proper safety gear? 165 plus. Tracks that keep allowing this stuff are just asking for trouble. We have enough tracks closing down without more that could be sued out of business. It's clear money is not the problem, put a cage in the car!

It’s the dual clutch transmission that is stock…DCTs usually fail-safe after a couple of runs from overheating.

Shop who built the car gives zero FUCKS about what a junkyard KS runs… they know what they run. We all know what they run. We as far enthusiasts, will build and run what we like, not all of us have to be on the budget racer stock 5.3 China 80mm China intercooler eBay injectors in a old foxbody crowd in order to run numbers. No disrespect to that crowd tho
