Whirlpool Aero Car Refurbishments 

In the winter of 2023, Niagara Parks sent the Whirlpool Aero Car to Saint-Jérôme, Québec, to undergo refurbishments to the cable cars body, flooring, and mechanical parts. Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the Whirlpool Aero Car it requires highly specialized skilled tradespeople to complete the refurbishments.
The lower section of the Aero Car, the red car, was refurbished with a brand-new non-slip floor, a new roof, new paint, and mechanical parts. The upper section of the Aero Car, the yellow arch, was replaced with an identical arch. The Whirlpool Aero Car is the only cable car of its era left in the world. Due to this, throughout the entire refurbishment process, precise attention to detail was kept to ensure that the iconic original design was preserved.
Today, over 100 years after its first ride, more than 100,000 persons ride the Whirlpool Aero Car annually. These recent refurbishments will allow future generations to continue to enjoy this world-renowned attraction.
