As much as I love them, I think they are rightfully scared for their safety after doing The Most to set a reputation for themselves lol. They'll prob stick it out Beatles style and be studio only. Most venues will not book them and too many people hate them. Their music is way too good but the guys aren't all that cool to actually feel safe around them or people who support their mindset.
@@Skywohka Worried about their "safety"? you have to be joking lmao. If Whirr announced a tour no venue would turn them away and most shows would sell out. Guran-fucking-tee-it. :)
Agreed! As much as I love Sway, I just feel like sometimes the guitars get drowned in the mix. Probably bc they’re using big muffs? But this version, the guitars sound amazing
Anyone who complained about this release I can't even... Singles were lit too. Was happy we got "feels like you." At a time in my life when things were ya know? Idk really bad but good. Went into heavy rotation circa this time last year and hit me even harder.. play the slow ones. Was ya know grateful... Been listening since sway etc that explosion and revival. Had been MBV fan since my late teens. Fogey now at 37 finally getting my footing again :/ Can't believe how long it's been. Yeah tho grateful ;)
I have listened to this for a year straight almost everyday. It got me through some of the worst times I’d ever imagine. My great gma was my mother essentially. We did everything together, she was always there even when my family wasn’t she always was. She was in my life for 23 years. I watched her pass from cancer and we knew it was coming but this album is what got me through it. I love you guys who come back to enjoy whirr as much as I do. 💪
well they initially stopped because of it, they released new music still, and mainly Nick Bassett said he wouldnt want to tour again because of the traveling, so these days I would most likely say the band probably all have lives and lauren is a father so touring wouldnt be easy. band definitely has a larger following now because of Tiktok and a bunch of other bands came out of the woodwork to make something happen with that so who knows maybe they would do a one off show or something. highly unlikely though.
I saw them live in the bay 5 times and it’s still the loudest set I’ve ever experienced. At Bottom Of the Hill and The Catalyst in Santa Cruz. #FreeWhirl
They were cancelled for making comments about the band G.L.O.S.S. and some other stuff on social media. So they’ve been sort out of the picture for awhile. They did release a new album in 2019 though. But not much since.
This is the greatest shoegaze band of our generation (2000s-) Bothers me whenever people don’t acknowledge such a thing.. the proof is right here. They have the sound
The sound of that soaring guitar at 2:15, I wish I knew how to write like that. The transition from Heavy to Feel was seamless. Whirr are masters of their craft. Truly Nothing and Whirr are the shoegaze giants of the 2020s.
Какой у них идеальный звук, это просто вау. Когда начался heavy это просто не описать словами. Это такое искусство, которое мало кому понятно и как же хорошо, что я могу наслаждаться этим.
