So you should, whether you love metal, rock or whatever, listening to and appreciating other forms of music, or expression, gives you a better understanding and appreciation of the whole spectrum.
Cheers friend, to good memories and the making of them! Memories are the slowing of time. The eternal juices to the fountain. Drink and live long brother.
I recently relapsed, I'm a recovering alcoholic, and this song hurt way too much to hear. I relate to every single word. It's hard to go on when you think you can't be happy sober, but know you'll die drinking. I've felt my emotions had become stone for a while, wondering if I should be alive still. Yet when I hear this, it reminds me I still have my heart and I break out into tears. I'm reassured that my heart is not made of stone. I may break again in the future, or maybe not, but I know I haven't turned to stone. And that's enough to get me by
Breaking and mending continually lets u know youre alive❤while we all break differently, we all do break. We hear "life is hard" a lot but its true. The lows lead us to the highs if we hang in there. I lost my dad to alcohol. Im 50 and think of him every single day. You can best this disease but you must keep getting up. You are worth it. Ask for help when you need it! Good vibes your way friend
Bradley C. Just another reason Texas is my favorite state outside of Nebraska. Would that radio station be in in DFW area? Heard one visiting and it was all Texas music or music about Texas. Ernest Tubb to or should I say Asleep at the Wheel to George Strait and maybe ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I couldn't listen long enough.
If u like whiskey look up turnpike troubadours, sturgill Simpson, Cody jinks, Tyler Childers all awesome musicians you sung find on terrible pop country bs
I was a stage manger at Houston , Tx House of Blues 2014 . I’m not ashamed to say o had tears almost a religious experience when they played this. I’ll never forget that moment.
My little brother passed away Friday. We buried him today. He had stage 4 lung and colon cancer. We were on the outs up until he extended an olive branch the month before he passed. Hurt is a part of life l, your heart will break a million times. But man thank God love is a part of life too. Make amends, tell them you love them. Don’t hold grudges. Time is all we have with each other and you never know how much. Don’t ever let your loved one turn to stone without them knowing how much you cherish them. RIP Rick Brunet. I loved you, I love you, I will love you…FOREVER! Take care of yourself little bro 💚
You're brother must of been a amazing soul . Reaching out for the special special occasion to smooth some ruffled feathers of birds out of one nest says he was special and still is in your heart and mind. Myself and a longer life aren't on the same pages. He did see you glow in a brothers love. Take care.
Wonderful thing about music. I'm from south eastern Europe, I was watching great tv show Yellowstone and then out of nowhere this song starts and it blows me away. The only country music I listened ever was couple of songs from Aaron Lewis and that's it. Now I'm digging deep into Country, gems like this one. Another music genre added to the list. Bless you all
Greatest song ever wrote and preformed song... I was in a dark place in life headed for a worse one when this song came on a static covered West Texas radio station and changed my life I realized I had not turned to stone yet so there was still hope... what I’m trying to say is thank you so much guys keep the music coming!
This song and band means so much to me. I used to listen to them with my daughter who is no longer with us. Thanks Whiskey, you guys make me smile and cry. Also thanks for your service, I was deployed twice myself
I'm sorry for you loss and may you find peace and healing as you cherish the memories and special times you had with your daughter. I just lost my mother a few months ago and country music seems to be the only music I can listen to in my time of grief. Love and light to you during this holiday season 🙏🏼❤️
The night is my companion And the highway is my home Got me seeking for one last beacon Every single place I roam They say Jesus was a poor man I guess I wish I had a little more him in me Make it easier going on living Heart ache and misery Sweet, sweet heart of mine I'm going to break again a million times Or is this too far gone? Have you turned to stone? Well I guess I got my bottle I still hold it all the time But it keeps me smiling and singing Helps me fall asleep a little bit better at night They say life is like a dagger Backstage is full of parasites They love you and drain of everything you own Just to feel better about their life Sweet, sweet heart of mine I'm going to break again a million times Or is this too far gone? Or have you turned to stone? Sweet, sweet heart of mine I'm going to break again a million times Or is this too far gone? Sweet, Sweet love of mine I'm going to break again a million times Or is it too far gone? Have you turned to stone?
I can't believe I never heard Whiskey Myers until now... I turned Idol on for the first time in years and this young dude was singing this... holy cow!!
I feel I've just crawled out from under a rock to have only just now learned this band exists. And thats only because of Colin Stough's amazing performance of it. I'm a huge music buff and am bewildered as to why I've never heard of them. Incredibly talented.
This song/band was featured on Yellowstone. I was watching and got captivated by this song. It reminds me of The Band. Sounds like good old fashioned 70's country rock. Good to hear the genre is still alive
This takes me back to a beautiful time of friends having camp fires and a few drinks to rememeber the ones we all love and the fact we are never alone when it comes to music like this.1970s southern rock hippies like us.excellent jam.
There's nothing like watching the open fire when we are camping. God's TV l call it , remembering those who have been in our lives and have gone. Let them live on inside our hearts. Cheers man from Australia where you can see for ever .
Refreshing that great music still exists. It’s better that they aren’t mainstream, it keeps their identity pure. Thanks Whiskey Myers for writing fantastic music!
My dad lost a great friend in a car wreck just over a year ago. Our family’s had always been super close so it hit me really hard too. When we walked into the viewing for him this is the song that was playing. I had never heard it before but since then this song has always held a special place in my heart and always will.
this quote apllies to very few, but here you go Whiskey Myers: "If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If its marketed right, you'll buy it. But... If its real... you'll feel it." Kid Rock
I`m European and I`m far away from this culture but this song is absolutely amazing for me.I heard it for the first time yesterday when my friend recommended me watching "Yellowstone".This song fits to this film perfectly
I'm from the UK and discovered this amazing song by Whiskey Myers whilst watching Yellowstone S1 ep4.. Rip: 'you look good in neon' Beth: 'who doesn't'..
Not sure what's in that Texas water bt that great state is sure pumping out sum tremendous artist...Cody Jinks, Randy Rogers and of course Whiskey Myers!! Love it boys keep it coming
Texas boy here . I grew up on pure country gold music I’m 34 now and I can remember my dad jamming old country. It’s been a while now since I’ve heard country that was worth a damn. But that god for whiskey, Chris Stapleton, uncle Lucius, and a few others,
Love this song! Yellowstone playing in the background at the bar when badass RIP Wheeler telling a a guy pervin on Beth to get out of his seat & fuck off.
I was scrolling through you tube maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago when I came across this band. American Outlaw was the first song I listened to, and it made me pick up my guitar and play along. and i haven't picked up my guitar but maybe twice in the last two and a half years. Now I play along with these guys everyday after work. thanks for the beautiful music that i feel comes from the heart.
whiskey Myers. actual musicians, and singers that play real music with lyrics that come from real life. what a concept. people just don't get it. Whiskey Myers....The greatest band since Skyward.
Take care of yourself, try to talk to the good parts of your family. Lean on good friends who lift you up, not drag you down. Get some professional help if its not enough. Whatever was bothering your Aunt, isn't now. Remember the good parts of her, she lives on through you and everyones memories of her. Good luck :)
OBSESSED !!! His voice is haunting and rocks me deep in my soul!!! New favorite band, been waiting for music this good for far to long!! Passion runs like a river in words and music!!! LUV LUV LUV

Came across Yellowstone on Paramount & when my wife and I heard this song we were instantly hooked! Sooo thankful for TV spotlighting amazing bands that need to be discovered by the masses! Bought all their music online the next day & going to see them live soon!
I’m not here because of Yellowstone but because my grandpa died and this is the song they played at his funeral. I never knew it existed until that day and, now I can’t stop listening to it

This is music for the soul. And if you live a rough life you can align yourself with this anyway you know that there's other people who feel like you do and it feels good to know that you're not alone
I wouldn’t call this country music . This is down home southern rock. I love the misery about it. Wants me to go back to drinking Crown! Used to throw back with Jim and Jack. Makes me down with Crown!
I don’t care if you consider this “country” or not. It’s REAL music.. you can FEEL it.. and that’s what country music used to be all about. It’s starting to come back around.

I've listened to whiskey Meyers for a few years now and when I heard this on Yellowstone I literally teared up. This band has so much heart in their songs its unreal. I could listen to this forever and never be over it!
That's funny that's what I said where the f*** did they get country music by these guys like 18 years old and have no idea you don't hear George Strait Randy Travis f****** Garth Brooks any of the country singers that he doesn't have a country voice there's no country music there's no guitar country is not even acoustic it's like Lynyrd Skynyrd light rock or something why the f*** do people keep referring to this as a goddamn country band I do not hear anything resembling f****** country music and I live in goddamn the south in the f****** Hillbillies
Nobody is living through them, in any way shape or form, they are entirely their own. I know you meant well, but that's spiritually treacherous language. Stunning group & song - God bless.
@@Blessed.2.Teach.4God thing is we need them too in the way music has progressed we need those influences to be present so we don't forget who created there own genre and that lane.
these guys and blackberry smoke are 2 bands way under rated. some of the best southern rock I have heard in a long time. both great live bands, a must see.

these guys are the bomb diggity. Their music can be played on any radio station. The singer's voice is like sounds like hot butter and chocolate being poured out of heaven.

I wish I had a little more of Jesus in me too. Country has always had its foundation in Christ. We are not too proud to work, we are not too proud to love and remain faithful to our wives till death do us part, we are proud to belong to God, washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. We love God, love our family and love our country., (Edit: I'm not loving this America. I love the Kingdom of God, and America has ceased to be one nation under God)

as someone who has seen Eric Church 3 times in concert, you are incorrect. He is one of the few who sounds just as good if not better live, than recorded.
These guys grow on me more and more. Music and lyrics that go right to my heart. Thank you for this Whiskey Myers. Know that your talent is appreciated out here.

The show Yellowstone might have the best soundtrack in the history of television. It introduced me to Ryan Bingham, Whisky Meyers, and Uncle Lucious. Props 👍👍👍
Don’t know how I have never heard you guys but so glad I found y’all. Keep on putting out that true country sound and hopefully one day I’ll find a show of yours close enough to home
Country is the beginning and end in all music. The soul the story telling reminds me of Sunday’s when my mum would cook dinner listening to the greats of country x
