Life is all about humility and changes. Being able to acknowledge those shows great wisdom.

Wise words. I think we all need to show some humility from time to time.

I Love the Charity Auction Idea. I personally would like to see it go to a smaller charity. I voted for the Veterans one.

I got this from the whisky dictionary years ago. Get the juice below the shoulder and let it sit for a Couple of weeks. Then drink again to get a full picture. You get the neck pour out of the way. Also this can lead to more content. Do an initial review then do a long term follow up.

Love it. Maybe I can do those two in one video.

@@TheReal_DeanD Yes, the whiskey changes the more it is exposed to air, specifically the alcohol evaporates faster than the water, leading to a lower proof & higher water to alcohol concentration than it was, when originally opened. If you don't like the neck pour just add water to your glass and it will be the same thing as if you waited for the alcohol to evaporate (aka reduce proof). I wouldn't add water to the bottle, just to each individual glass you're drinking.

Yes-!!! That Alberta springs cask is 🪄

It’s so good. I think people just don’t know instead of not liking it.

Couldn’t agree more! I tell everyone I drink with about this because it has such a unique place in the market as cask strength Canadian whiskey… that is actually very good. Each batch is a bit different but all incredibly good for a sub-80 and sometimes sub-70 cost. For goodness sake, please do not drink the regular Alberta premium. That stuff is quite bad, but just aging it up and at cask strength it is amazing.

@@TimothyDevon until this whiskey I’ve never really enjoyed a Canadian whiskey but like you said they do a great job.

I was wrong about Disco 11. The more I went back to it, the better it got. EH Taylor is one I have come around on as well. Cheers

I wish I would have bought more of those malted rye. I can’t find them anywhere now and this last bottle is so well balanced for a rye.

So ur saying Blanton's is worth more than $60? The grocery store here has them out now for $59.98 & they still have some after a week. Don't want to drink it for $60, but maybe I should buy them all to trade for whiskey I like more & can not find?
@TheWhiskeyCove
@TheWhiskeyCove Месяц назад
60$ is a good price. I’ve heard that they move on certain black markets for 100$-125

Preferences definitely change with time. Besides that some bottles do need time to be open. I had one bottle that was a 75 score for the first half of the bottle. The second half of the bottle was so much better. I’d score it at least a 90
