Just got a bottle of this from my brother-in-law. I'm usually a Lagavulin 16 or Ardbeg/Laphroaig 10 guy, but this is a nice change of pace. Definitely a lot of flavour in this one. Thanks for the video, enjoyable as always.

I've had this bottle and its good. I paid about $60, Costco has it for $50

Ah, the good old double cak. Nothing beats it. 😂

I am still new and learning, but this is the best whisky I've had so far. It was not the most "interesting" (title goes to Laphroaig 10) but the most enjoyable.

This is going to be my next review and I can't wait! Definitely some good stuff!

The first smell for me screamed APPLES! Golden Delicious apples.

I have tried and tasted the Mcallan Sherry Oak Cask 12 YO it was a good one but not one of my favourites, should i buy this one or some other one? The other ones i had in mind are Highland Park 12 Dalwhinnie 15 Oban 14 Glenmorangie 10 Ancnoc 12 Caol Ila 12. All of them that i mentioned is really a favourite for me so its so hard to choose

I bought the Sherry bottle before and did not like that one, now im thinking about trying the 12 YO Double Cask but I dont want to be dissapointed again

This bottle is 43% ABV now, or at least the one I got in Southern California is.

Really fruity and sweet. Reminds me of cognac. It surely has a lot of taste, but maybe too fruity for my taste. I think I've not tried similar one before.

How many grams is recommended to drink this whiskey in the evening?

Double cask is great stuff. I think it smooths out the std 12, which is also a great one.

I'm so trying to like this Scotch. I have to drink too much of it to feel it but the flavors are great.

Much more bitter than traditional Mac 12. I enjoyed watching Horst smack down Ben every time he disagrees.

I’m drinking the macallan 12 double cask as I’m writing this for me I taste oak really strong off the bat then the cherry hits not bad but not the greatest for the price range

It's a bit overpriced, but very good. A bit smoother to my tastes than Glenlivet 12 and Glenfiddich 12.

I'm a beginner and I chose The Macallan Double Cask 12. I knew it would strong but that is part of the learning process. I figured I would start with well known brands that are readily available. I also picked up two Glencairn glasses. Thank you for the video. I see I need to develop my palate to pick up the notes in taste as well as smell.

The double cask in Ohio sells for less than 60 USD at 43% abv. The 12 is very slightly more. It’s no way worth $80 to me.

Macallan 12 Double Cask is $100 in Ontario, Canada. It is far too ordinary and uninteresting to be worth that price.

I like whisky.. guess I’m not a scotch fan . This is the first one I’ve tasted and I did not my burning lips or the beer smell at first taste... or second taste. Maybe I need to try something else or add some water to enjoy the flavor.

so does this mean the 12yo sherry oak is discontinued

Didn’t like this one and 40% for that price, as the 12 sherry oak, is also a disappointment.

I got one at total wine..for 42bucks..and not made in china.

Always a pleasure to watch. I enjoyed the bottle as much as the 12 Sherry Matured. Different but nice! I am disappointed with the 18, though. Overpriced! Mark

Just enjoyed my first couple of drinks of this before bedtime, lovely light taste. Again, I do suspect you are just paid shills, though, since you never give a critical view. I'd love to find an honest scotch critic on the Tube.
