Skylar Elliot didn’t use to look forward to school, but this has all changed since he joined the Whistle Stop school at St Mary’s Primary. This Program gives young learners like Skylar, the opportunity to catch up on their reading and writing skills. At no fees schools like St Mary’s where class rooms are over-crowded, it is easy for pupils who are battling to keep up with work to fall behind. This is where the Whistle Stop program steps in to give keen learns a second chance. Not only helping students learn to read, but giving the tool so that they can read to learn.
