My kid lived in Whistler for 5 years so I was able to get out there a couple of times each year. I'd forgotten how big and gnarly it is. The "runs" are just a small part of the place... Great vid.
For those who dont know, its 99% steeper than it looks on camera, camera dosent capture perspective, when i board and gopro it, it looks like a baby hill, but irl its steep as fuck
Hey BCmtb, your a legend, but look at 0:44, do you see how the snow breaks kind of? That's a melt-freeze crust on top of a thick layer of loose snow. This kind of combination is prone to avalanches, especially in this steep terrain, please please watch out brother! Especially at 3:07, look there's a small avalanche man you gotta be careful!
I feel like so many of these clips look familiar, but I just can't quite place any of them. I'm surprised harmony was open so early, I surely haven't been up that way yet this year
6:12 damn! that's a precarious situation. the part where you get stuck in a tree no less after is some crazy situation to be in. Looks like you took your time and made it out though so GG
Sick video! Do you find the bent 100’s are burly enough or do you wish you had something bigger? I’m in the market for a new set of twigs. How much do you weigh if you don’t mind?
I find the bent 100s to be perfect for almost everything. Skied them in really deep pow and still had decent float. Just got a pair of the bent 110 which I really like so far. I weigh about 135 pounds and 5’7 on a 172
@@mr_esports9228 Depends what you mean by bad conditions, if you mean ice or crud they're not the best.. Ive had a pair and changed for faction Candide 2.0s which perform awesomely despite being a bit stiff Edit: the BC 100s are still awesome skis
Admirable sense of adventure. You almost didn't get a reprieve from that last set of cliff rocks. Don't worry, keep skiing lines like those. There's a rock or log under there with your name on it. But you sound young, so it's okay. Your bones will heal fast...
