You don't have to have a "class 3 weapons license" to own a deactivated RPG. Anyone can own a de-milled RPG. It's the same as buying a mil-surp hand grenade form your local army surplus store. No back ground check or special license is needed.
You missed the point. They were checking if it was deactivated, or if not, he had a proper license. But in reality the license you would need tis the Class IV which covers Destructive Devices. Class 4, covers what the NFA calls, Destructive Devices or DD's. Which include but are not limited to, bombs, grenades, nuclear weapons, flame throwers, dynamite, rocket launchers, tanks, Javelin Missile Launcher, Fighter Jets...
@@greebuh You can just Form-1 a de-milled RPG back into a destructive device without any special licensing, registered as a destructive device. Then if you want actual working rockets though, you need to register each rocket with their own individual $200 Form-4 stamps. If he wanted to start building individual rockets himself, then he'd need the FFL 07/02 licensing and a business that those licenses would be tied to a business since they dont grant those licenses to just individuals for the hell of it.
When you have an NFA regulated item you MUST show it to law-enforcement of all entities when asked to and no warrant is needed. In fact a refusal to show that item when ordered to amidst of any investigation relating to it will not only revoke your ownership of it and it’s value that it holds but can and usually will send you to prison for it. I don’t feel like explaining this again as I’ve explained this elsewhere in the comment section.
@@greenmonkey7305 there's no NFA items involved here bud. Completely irrelevant. I also don't own any NFA items for this precise reason. Bark up some other tree where there's actually something to be barked at.

they just arrested a navy sailor and charged him with posession of an "illegal" RPG7 (deactivated) because the ATF agents were able to rebuild it using a trigger housing from another sample and they were able to sleeve the tube with a 7.62x39 training barrel and after weeks they were able to fire a single rifle round.... so they charged sailor with posession of RPG7
That's the ATF for you. They change the definitions of their own policies to infringe on your rights. They define it as "Readily able to be restored to operational condition". If it took weeks to restore it, the case probably wont hold. Either that or a navy sailor is going to be building a new killdozer.
@@Bill-bj9fn most people won't like me for saying this, but it was Trump's bump stock ban that allows them to arbitrarily label things "machine guns" even with "constructive posession" if you have a coat hanger or a shoe lace too close to your AR15.
I saw that they totally fucked that guy he bought if from gunbroker or some other legal site they also charged him with a machine gun because they where able to piece one together with some parts he had using the ATF lathes and gun lab. Honestly with an advanced gun building shop they could turn any semi automatic rifle into a “machine gun” or with what the ATF considers a “machine gun” they could turn any hunk of metal into one.

"RPG" does NOT stand for "Rocket Propelled Grenade" it stands for "Ruchnoy Protivotankovy Granatomyot" which means "Handheld Anti-tank Grenade Launcher" in Russian
That's what I was thinking, no need for the FFL licensing. But in Michigan, if you've got the place to fire them, I think it's worth the cost/effort for the license to own fully auto weapons. Where I live in the UP, there's really nowhere to go if you don't own your own land. Even then, you'd be expecting the phone calls to start when the target practice does.
If you aquire these items via military they need the certificate of demilitirazation with them. Talk to the ammo tech and they can make one and very the item no longer poses a hazard.
In Michigan “Drag Racing” has a different legal definition than what most people would think of, it’s a category of different actions and behaviors in a vehicle. And you can legally “drag race” alone with no other vehicles involved.
South Carolina kinda does this. My buddy got charged with drag racing. On a dirt road... which was technically his drive way with no trespassing signs at the end cause it led to his house and 3 other shorter driveways to other houses and no the driveway doesnt have a name and the county or state owns none of the land connectedto the driveway except for one house was foreclosed by a bank at the time... but the story is and it's literally all on my buddies rear dash cam, the cop pulled onto the dirt road behind him and followed about a quarter mile (he lives in the mountains btw so long ass driveway) but since it's private property my buddy kicked it and just because he went 75 on a none state registered road (not even on gps) the cop got him for drag racing and in court the cop says the road is supposed to be traveled at 25mph or less because it's dirt and some gravel. But it's still a ongoing case obviously because my buddy is fighting it. But get this. Buddy had moonshine... Clear as day in the back seat (2cases which would be 9 jars each) cop never once acknowledged it to this day. I only know this because I was at his house waiting for him cause we was gonna throw a super bowl party, i didn't believe he had got pulled because the shine was still there in the backseat... makes me wanna scratch my head now thinking about what that cop had planned that day

He says he got busted for barely stopping at a stop sign….funny how cops will pull you over for a rolling stop thru a stop sign, where NO on coming traffic is even around, and if you argue they say it’s the law…but when it’s the other way around and the cops try to do an unlawful stop and request your drivers license without telling you what the infraction is (which the LAW clearly states that they have to charge you or sight you to be able to ask for your I.D.), and when YOU quote the law they just try to ignore and bully you….funny how that works……so at what point do they change our name to the Socialistic States of America? Because that’s what it is…..where ya going….what are you doing….where ya driving too…

No such thing as a class 3 weapons license and the RPG doesn’t even require anything like that, but you can’t be surprised they are concerned at a dumbass riding around hanging a rocket out the window of his car in public.
Dude. Don't you watch ANY of the pro 2A channels on RU-vid? You NEVER offer or allow them onto your property, ESPECIALLY to inspect or inquire about any sort of weapons you may or may not have in your possession! If they ask, you're supposed to politely decline, and if they persist, tell them you'd be happy to comply with a valid warrant, at a prearranged time and with a reasonable amount of notice so that your attorney may be present, and you should conclude with, "Until then, may I assume that our business is otherwise concluded and I am free to go?" If they respond with anything other than the affirmative, then your next (and only) thing you say is, "am I under arrest?" at which point they will (hopefully) say something along the lines of "You're not under arrest, but you are being detained" And you should respond with, "Detained for what purpose? Do you suspect that I've committed a crime?" And HOPEFULLY this is where they'll f**k up and say something like, "Well, that's what we're trying to determine!" Because, if they say anything close to that, they're basically admitting to illegally detaining and questioning you, aka a "fishing expedition", either trying to FIND something illegal in order to justify their desire to search your property, or they're just trying to get you to forfeit your own rights by saying something stupid! As a matter of fact, it's very likely that they've been attempting to railroad you into saying something dumb since they first showed up, since this is most cop's "default" mode anyway. They heavily train officers to do this in most departments today, which is diametrically opposed to what most law enforcement organizations "claim" in their mission statement and/or the oath that they take when they join, which usually includes some sort of babble about protecting life, property to some extent, and there's usually some mention of justice, and liberty sprinkled in there for good measure. But claiming to stand for liberty, then being trained in the art of "convincing people to forfeit their rights, so that you may do all of the things to them that said "rights" were designed to prevent anyone (especially law enforcement) from doing to them in the first place! Cops view your civil rights as a hindrance to them actually having to do police work, and they hate that they can't just use their authority over you and force you to give them a "win" with no care over whether or not your freedom is expendable, and whether or not you truly deserve (in the legal sense) to lose that freedom! Always remember what my dad taught me as a young boy. Cops are NOT your friend. They will NEVER go out of their way to "help" you, and talking to them, or interaction with them in any way will NEVER make your situation or the outcome "better" in any way. By NOT talking to police, you only stand to help yourself and potentially make your situation better. Even when you're 100% innocent, and not even suspected of a crime, anything you say to a cop can ONLY serve one two purposes, it can do.. a) nothing at all, and basically go in one ear and out the other.. or b) end up HURTING you, because you said something that they then used against you later in court. Or you can unintentionally say something that suddenly gives them the legal right to search you, enter your home, arrest you, or start up a completely NEW investigation against you for something that they never would have known about without you telling them about it. Bottom line is, NEVER willfully cooperate with police with the thought that "you're innocent and have nothing to hide" or that "if you just cooperate they'll return the favor and let you go" It doesn't work like that...ever.
