VAL’S KITCHEN’S
“Better Than”
WHITE CASTLE CHEESEBURGERS
Ingredients:
1 cup (or more!) dried onion flakes
1 1/2 pounds ground chuck (I prefer organic 85/15)
Salt, pepper, garlic powder
6 - slices cheddar cheese
1 package Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12)
dill or sweet dill pickle slices
Directions:
Evenly spread the onions on the bottom of a 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Gently press the ground beef on top of the onion flakes. Press evenly making one giant patty.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. (don’t worry.. the meat will shrink!)
Slice open and separate each roll onto small cookie sheet. Set aside.
After 20 minutes, top hamburgers with cheese and return to the oven for 2 more minutes. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes then cut into 12 patties.
While hamburgers are cooling, warm rolls in oven.
Place one hamburger patty on each roll making sure to get onions underneath!
Top each slider with a pickle slice, ketchup then the bun lid. Serve immediately. Makes 12 White Castles.
