The interior of the White Dining Room, created by Rastrelli, was almost completely redone by Yu. M. Felten, leaving only the parquet on the floor intact. Nothing remains of the gilded baroque splendor - the light walls are decorated with relief images of cupids, garlands of leaves and flowers.
The “highlight” of the White Dining Room is stoves decorated with exquisite tiles, as well as a chandelier - the largest of all that were in Russian palaces. Like other lamps in the dining room, it is made of bronze and decorated with crystal pendants.
Today, the exposition of this hall presents a faience service for thirty persons, created in 1770 by the Englishman J. Vedvut, supplemented with Russian and Bohemian glass. The table setting reproduces the atmosphere of one of the numerous ceremonial dinners that were held in the White Dining Room.
