Ironic that the conversation with Reagan in heavan triggerd that reaction from you two, there's a phone recording of Reagan talking to Nixon where they openly call african diplomats monkeys then laugh about it. The conversation was about how the racist southern vote needs to be courted and appealed to. The Gaurdian had the phone call posted on their youtube channel if you want to listen, its appalling. Search "the guardian nixon and regan phone call" and it will come up.

It pushed the envelope WAY HARDER than south park especially when it came to topics like socialism and revolution. South Park had dirty jokes but boondocks seasons 1&2 were literally hyper leftists , anti government, anti imperialism, anti capitalism messaging. If this show aired today there would be an enormous right wing backlash against it (after they got over their lack of media literacy and realized the show was making fun of them). The boondocks has WAY more balls than south park ever has or ever will have.

Yes it pokes fun at all communities but the shows EXPLICIT POINT is that systemic racism/white supremacy is the root cause of all of this. Ironically, it only got cancelled after season 4, and it only got cancelled because season 4 was garbage due to the original creator of the Boondocks leaving because executives were trying to take the show in a direction he didn't like.

It’s not JUST about what self hating black people think. People like Ronald regan DO THINK SHIT LIKE THAT. The entire country of America was built on those types of thoughts and it has bled into our national subconscious as a collective over hundreds of years. You can't blame them for not hearing level of racism comparable to ruckus or that ronald reagan depiction in boondocks. Its completely untrue that this is normal.I'm not in your shoes and won't dictate your experience... but understand we all have perceptions of others actions aswell and words. subjective interpretations. The same way you get mad them because "just because you haven't witnessed things like that personally doesn't mean it doesn't happen every single day." well any white person can get mad because You don't witness or see how many white families adopt African children and donation support. You don't see the perspective of those white people who arent racist even when its in front of you. Or those boot licking "White guilt" weirdos History books are history... Things of the past which are taught differently depending on whos teaching it. Slavery existed and it was wrong...so was jim crow...so was the stigma attached to black people after jim crow.. As for police shootings and brutality which do happen to both races white and black.. some events widely regarded as "racism" such as George Floyd and more where a black person is killed, involve little intricacies and details that make things not so "Black and white" such as him holding a pregnant woman hostage with a gun, being a horrible human being or other black folks who did have weapons or tried to grab weapons from officers...These events arent good and certainly pose a level of tradgedy but those who have it coming, have it coming such as george floyd and media never dictates those intricacies... more black people kill black people than white police even though black officers exist aswell. Police brutality CERTAINLY exist... but its not as bad as the extreme liberals make it seem and this show takes a LOGICAL & mild liberal lean as opposed to conservative
