This week's video is a summertime staple here in Central Pennsylvania, the White Fly. I have been seeing white mayflies in the evenings around here lately and catching some fish on them, especially right at dusk. The white flies come off throughout the summer time here in PA and in some areas are rather large even up to a size 8. They are famous on the Susquehanna River where they come very heavily and cover the bridges around the river.
You can definitely tie these in a Catskill style pattern and do well with them, however I prefer to fish my dry flies as parachutes. I feel they tend to land more naturally on the water. Whichever way you decide to tie them you should give them a try on our new HFS Dry Fly Hooks. Our dry fly line of hooks range in size from 12-20. We really thing you'll like them. If you need any of them or any other materials please go to our website, Https://www.holsingers... for all you tying needs.
Thanks for watching.
