This is the thing, until Black people, until Black Children can wear their own hair, or when a Federal Crown Act passes, when schools and business stop calling our hair unkept, messy, until we can wear it without putting on wigs to make you comfortable, or cutting it to perform sports, etc. because a lot of you are still intimidated by Black Peoples hair, when we can wear our hair and it’s not worn by other cultures as a party outfit and they take it off the next day and go to their professional meetings or business meanwhile you removed the hair because you yourself believe what society says about it, Our hair is not a costume, we wear it out of necessity, you want to wear it for cool points see, when you have no empathy on how Black Women were treated because of their hair, the legislation passed to cover it, shaving our heads and putting our hair in your furniture, or setting our hair on fire for night torches, while it was still on our heads etc. you can’t give us any of that back, but you can leave our hair alone and I myself don’t understand how none of you understand or maybe you just don’t care, and that would be vintage your people. Although I do not agree with the way this video is worded, and I do understand why you're upset. You feel it unfair to have something, that historically, has gotten you harassed, and mercilessly ridiculed. That is not fair to you and is sickening to me as well. But as we move forward to the future, do you think you could accept people wearing typically black hair styles because they think they look nice? To have something that had been ridiculed for years turn into something many people can appreciate? It sounds like a pretty good rags to riches story to me! And while I do not deny that this harassment does not go on now, but how would you feel if society slowly started to integrate typically black hairstyles into common place?
The thing is we work hard for our culture to be accepted when we go to school there is a possibility we could be sent home when we wear our own cultural hairstyles we risk not getting jobs we even are called ghetto but when y’all started doing it it was trendy it literally got renamed by y’all when we created it and get judged harshly for wearing our own culture. the invention of wigs by Egyptian royalty and while this was around 2700 BCE, a white man in 1870’s also invented a front lace wig used to cover up baldness while still having a natural look of hair. although Egyptians (egyptians came in many shades of brown and white a lot like southern or coastal european countries or western asian countries like india) were the first to come up the idea of wigs a white man was the first to come up with lace front wigs. i would give both ethnicities credit for their inventions especially on how big of the impact it has on everyday modern life. not only did women take this invention but so did african americans in the 1900’s. i hope you know that i am not coming for anyone and that i understand why black women adopted this invention because of the troubles they faced because of their skin color or hair type. but we have to understand that our world has been around for a very long time and that every culture and religion has been robbed of the owner ship of an idea or object. i think that anyone and everyone should be able to do what they want as long as they know the history of it and that it won’t effect that person health negatively like women with straight hair that get box braids. i think that it is time to just appreciate everyone and everyone’s culture and learn how to be respectful and open to other people appreciating it.

First and foremost ANCIENT EGYPTIANS were different shades of BLACK, Not White! The Egyptians that occupy modern day Egypt ARE NOT the original people! They’re of Arab & European decent. The ORIGINAL Arabs are BLACK, not this whited out version you see on TV, but dark black. Europeans have spent thousands of years RAPING and pillaging everywhere they went.. emphasis on RAPING! It is what they did in the Americas with the NATIVE BLACK people that were there, what they did to the Mexicans in Mexico, what they did to the Aboriginals in Australia, same thing in Brazil, Puerto Rico, Cuba, DR,.. you get the point ( they didn’t get everyone everywhere they went, although they surely tried)! It's probably your attitude that people don't like more than the braids though. You know the culture but your attitude is somewhat snobbish. Just like you don't feel like you owe the people you stole the style from, no one owes you either. Black women have gotten kicked out of school, asked to leave work, told they are unprofessional and ghetto for the very style that you now have the privilege to rock. Not to mention, because of the texture of some black hair, the only way to manage it is to braid it. It's more than just a trend. No one can stop you from wearing your hair braided. Free country, but you can't force black women to like it if they don't.
They don’t need to like it, as a black male I see this comment as ridiculous. Although they don’t need to like it it’s very messed up to speak negatively twords people. If you have nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut. One of the many parts of human decency. Now going back to the braids she doesn’t owe nobody anything. She did HER hair by HER self. Also, what do you mean by stealing? If she stole the hair style it would mean white people owned it now. The fact that you said “No one is hating on you” when I’ve seen comments say “you’re ugly” or “you look stupid” so that’s not hate? If you still thinking that way you need to realize what “hate” means.
As an African let me know explain .braids are a protective style which is targeted for type 4,3 and 2 if you know the history of box braids you should know that type 1 hair (search on the internet) always tends to rip out as type 1 scalp is softer than the types of hair textures .many other cultures and tribes use braids even asians and europeans you aren’t special like that most africans don’t care as when oyibo(white) people come to African countries like Seychelles angola South Africa and even Namibia ,many white women pay to get their braids done and they don’t appropriate they appreciate. So not only black and african wear box braids as long as its safe meaning your scalp is moisturized.and nobody is insecure we dont like it when random white women do braids whether box or fulani braids (search since you know) and give it dumb names like ok do braids styles and use the right name.also know the trauma many black people in America went through as women where told to put their hair away whilist white women had a large variety of hairstyles they ran to box braids and sew ins and even relaxer . So please nobody is insecure ,we don’t really care but since you know the history reove the video as you have contradicted your own statements and so called personality (from braids ) 😊.
Babes WE DIDNT SAY WE DONT LIKE YOU WITH BRAIDS we didn’t even say anything about y’all wearing braids so at this point YOU JUST MAKING STUFF UP CAUSE YALL BORED LIKE IF YALL WANT BRAIDS HAVE IT CAUSE WHY YALL ASSUMING THAT WE SAY WE DONT CARE CAUSE ITS A HAIRSTYLE no one ain’t gonna have an opinion on your hair black people typically wear them to look more involved and more like you so STOP ASSUMING and THOSE ARNT BOX BRAIDS THOSE ARE PLATS AND YOU OVER THERE TALKING ABOUT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING BOX BRAIDS HONEY BYE I CANT TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY 😂😂
And if you knew the history you wouldnt be so racist about it. Historically white people wear braida and dreads for centuries. 😒 Good lord the entitlement of you ppl
She’s acting like we’re stopping her, do whatever you want just don’t get mad when there’s consequences 🤷🏾♀️ We have the same consequences when we perm, sh!t gets dry and thin asf. Don’t see us doing “dear white women” videos 💀
For real she really thought she was doing something here. It's like non black people using the n-word sure you can do it but don't be mad if I call you a racist because of it
@@kasketbase8741The dear white woman videos were from multiple. Asians, Black women, And some white men like other races more for some reason. It's because of disrespect like this. Them mocking African gods. Saying stuff about voodoo, Racists things, Videos like this. We have a reason
@@HealingIsOk I see you’re point for sure but to deny that the “dear white woman” videos are more prevalent is just disingenuous as hell. That’s all I’m saying
